What’s your favorite stock right now?

I’m a real estate professional and love REITs.
I’m stocking up on Realty Income (O) and New Residential Investment (NRZ), both are dividend stocks. NRZ is much more risky but much more potential upside since it’s related to mortgage backed securities/mortgage servicing which are struggling due to mortgage forbearance.
Realty Income still seems solid with over 80% of their tenants still paying rent on time and currently at a 20-30% discount.
So what’s your favorite stock? Why?

I'm new to the stock market and just started investing a small amount of money, but right now the stock that is doing best for me is STKL, followed by VFF and CNTY.
I haven't been able to get into it and learn as much as I want to lately because of work but I plan on really digging in in the near future.
I screwed up recently and bough some MRO stock, not sure what's gonna happen this year with gas so I might sell it next time it goes up a little.

Right now I am watching PLUG, AUY, INSW, ERI, and GNUS.
PLUG is treating me right today, best trade deal in the history of trade deals. For me at least.

This is my thinking on that. On the one hand it's a blue chip and has been for a zillion years. We're not getting socialized medicine, so that shouldn't be an issue. The other thing is they might be the one who soars on the vaccine. And even if they don't, it will still be a pretty good holding. I'm seeing way more upside than downside.
I have a question. I should put this in the general thread too. Can you flex trade in an IRA? I only recently learned the distinctions that flex trading is more than a day, but not buy and hold. Thankyou.

I make 10-15 dollars a day trade (3 a week) off of IZEA never fails on the morning rush. Premarket its always down and has at least a 10 cent jump every morning at open.
AUY has done me right as far as gold stocks but there are a few others to watch there for swing trades.
I've been keeping my positions short, in and out in a hurry due to the still lingering concerns of COVID and more shutdowns. I'd hate to be in the market when it drops.

Wells Fargo would be a good longer term hold. It normally trends and stays in the 30 to 40ish range, but COVID really plastered it. Wells isn't going anywhere as they are the worlds largest bank. It's not a short term hold though.

I tend to sway away from financial institutions for long term holds, especially in a time like this. Money is always the first thing effected in a crisis of any kind. It may sound cliche but Pot Stocks like ACB, CGC, and THCX are better long term buys in my opinion. The ball is already rolling on international legalization and as the ball rolls the stocks will continually grow.
Also the alternative energy producers such as PLUG and NEP. We can't use oil as energy forever and companies like that will reap the benefits.
Which route one takes honestly depends on what they would like in return. Do they want cash return such as a long term buy and sell where you buy a into a company such as a Pot Stock like Aurora and sell once it expands X amount. Or do you prefer less work where you buy into an ETF consistently over time with higher dividends and less movement in price but a stead income through said dividends.

Money always being affected by crisis is exactly why its a good buy now. It's at about 50% of what it normally is. It's a pretty safe bet you will profit if you just hold it until the current clusterfuck corona crisis has passed.

I suppose that depends on whether you believe that this is a normal crisis that will recovery, or a planned crisis that will lead to a different economic normalcy. That's a conversation for the conspiracy boards though lol. But as for what I can personally see, The USD is currently backed by oil. Right now there are forces at play to bring the USA back to the gold standard which would have its effects on a lot of things. These two facts are easily googled for proof. If we go back to the gold standard there is no telling how these financial institutions will recover.
With that being said the stock market is always a gamble, it's just matter of how you play your cards. You could make exponential profit off of the financial institutions and my alternative energy could be left in the dust with a 9 of hearts high.

I have ordered study materials but haven't received them yet. I only know it refers to the time frame, longer than a day but not buy it and forget it. it can apply to any instrument that is commonly traded.
I'm interested for two reasons. One is that day trading is so different from investing that it will be a long learning curve for me. Also I'm old enough to withdraw from retirement accounts with no penalty. So the tax benefits would be significant. I know this would apply to long term capital gains, but I'm not sure about short term.

I know this would apply to long term capital gains, but I'm not sure about short term.
Day trading in my experience, which is slim due to me only making 3 day trades a week to keep from being marked as a pattern day trader, is all about the penny stocks.
First find a stock that moves up and down throughout the day. 10 to 20 cent variation is the best I have found in stocks costing less than 2 dollars. Then when you find a stock that moves within the 10 to 20 cent range daily you find the pattern of it. does it drop at night during after hours and shoot up 15 cents every morning leveling out? When is the jump likely to happen every day? It will take time to find a few of these but 2 or 3 different stocks is all you need. Then you purchase at the patterned low, or the level of support as they call it. And sell before it reaches it's expected high, or level of resistance as they call it.
I've been doing this with IZEA, I'll buy directly before the stock market open and within 15 to 20 minutes after open it is up 10 to 15 cents.
Now to make this viable you ave to buy a lot of the stocks, I buy as many as I can so for each cent the stock goes up my total investment goes up about two dollars. With my small account (around 300) i make 15 to 20 dollars a day on this trade.
As for flex trading, I read it as swing trading. its the same play as with day trading that i just described but the stocks are usually higher in price and you have to wait a few days before the patterned climb reaches its selling point.
As the USA started opening back up post the initial COVID scare I made good money off of the casinos getting big business ans jumping 10 to 20 dollars per share over the period of a few days.
I myself try not to hold any swing trades over the weekend, but that is just my preference. Again all of this I have said is strictly my opinion and shouldn't be taken as biblical, just something to look at and build your process off of.
The one rule I stick to which has kept my stock profile moving up is stick to your process. Have your criteria, if a stock doesn't match the criteria you have do not buy for any reason. don't let emotions change your process, and for the love of all things good have a stop loss on your swing trades. When you buy into a swing trade, set a stop loss. So if the stock tricks you and drops (which is going to happen at times) you only lose a percentage of what you have put in. Know how much you are willing to lose and get out of the trade when you hit that point, do not hold out for hopes of it going back up. Discipline to your process will save your life.
Lastly look up the different trade actions. Aka limit buy, stop loss, limit sell. Know how these tools work and use them to your advantage.
Mush love and stay trippy.
