What will/did you have for dinner tonight?

Inquiring minds want to know.
For me a vegetarian rice with steamed veggies dish with some kikkoman, herbs and spices.
Standard run of the mill lockdown fare.
How about you?
If its "we're getting Domino's" its that, if you have an epic 5 course meal, lets hear that too.

Spaghetti and peas or chicken with rice and broccoli.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Psalm 12:6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Revelation 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

I made my first meal from the lockdown foods I bought early march, rice and beans, I had canned veggies to add too but I forgot, I made a cup and a half dried rice and a cup dried beans, it gave me 2 meals worth of food, the first day I ate it with ceasar dressing, and the second day I ate it with teryaki sauce, I made it with chicken boulion but it didnt really taste like anything so I added the sauces, I thought the boullion would make it taste like mr noodles, next time I am going to double the boulion and see if that helps

Acquire some varied spices/herb mixes to spice things up in distinctly different ways.
If I can recommend one thing, your cuisine needs to be rescued by my favorite Japanese superhero:
Get/order a few liter bottles from Asian food places where the Asians buy themselves. Its far cheaper in restaurant bottles and you'll use it as rice is a staple food for you now. You won't want to add salt to anything anymore when you got Kikkoman!
Its a 300 year old leading brand

Beer nothing but beer. Drinking the way out Covid-19. I am looked down upon by people in my apartment building in Utah. Is amusing to me. Endless dead flesh of animals, extreme salt, endless sweets. Like Willy Wonka said, candy is dandy but liqour is quicker.
There are so many dogmatic, look up the word if one chooses, enlightens ones life, that live here in Utah. The Republican/Saint self righteous types. Fake people. The thing about esoterics is you can see through people and gleam truth in my experience.
Meditation is great as well to get through it. Getting more into it with the covid thing. Know thyself, stoicism philosophy. Am liking that now. And they opened up a comedy club, open mic night which is great in these parts of the world. Though America is number one in it and why Trump won't get re-elected. Not that I am for Trump but patsy Biden will do the bidding of those who really run the show. The puppet.
So on with life.

I cooked rabbit for the first time this weekend and had the rest of it this evening.
I simmered it in broth and red wine for 3 hours and then after used the a little of the broth to make a rabbit gravy which I poured over some of the meat after.
It was pretty good -- problem was at the price point I paid...no. Not at that price. I know it's a cliche to say that something tastes like chicken, but my first couple bites I honestly couldn't tell the difference at all. If anything it was a more lean version of chicken. But as I ate it more I could tell the difference. It was very chicken breast-ish except it had a little bit of a beefy side to it as well. Like you can taste it in the aftertaste.
But the going rate for rabbit is around $11 a pound. Around here anyway. And the place I got it from only sold whole rabbits, which weigh around 3 pounds. So I paid roughly 35 for the rabbit, and then another 20 for the wine to braise it in (wine was highly recommended by just about everyone I spoke to who had cooked rabbit before).
So yeah I paid like nearly $60 for 3 pounds of...something that tastes like chicken but with a slightly beefy aftertaste.
And hey nothing against chicken -- I really like chicken. But I can get like 3 nice sized chicken thighs (my favorite part of the chicken) for a total of $4 bucks

I like rabbit but it's definitely expensive and basically chicken. As I've learned recently rabbit is actually one of the cheaper meats to produce so it should be cheap but no one buys it so it's bougie. You can literally get world class chicken for the price of a generic rabbit. Seriously they feed them all kinds of herbs and spices and shit lolol. Rabbit is good though, first time I had it it was done rotisserie style and man that was some good shit. I like some game to my meat.

I like game to my meat also and I'd get it again if it weren't that expensive
I got a lot out of it this weekend though. That 3 pound rabbit got me a meal on Saturday, and then I literally ate all rabbit all day on Sunday while I was drinking (basically 3 huge servings) and then one last heaping of it today.
I would love to try it rotisserie style

Vegetarians and vegans are like zealous religious peoples, imho, forcing bs in front of you til they admit they're full of it.
I don't bash vegetarians or vegans, as I once tried both causes, but honestly a nice thickly salted meat every now and then is the crème de la crème. Like the ones you'd find at a fancy meat shop on the right side of town.

Eaten a massive burrito, soft wheat shell, refried pinto beans and rice, hot sauce, pico de gallo, lettuce, never iceburg, avocado and cilantro lime dressing on top with some mashed blue corn chips with sour cream and the type that has those Acidfus, bifudus, words that cannot be pronounced in it.
I feel sated. I eat one meal a day and snack. Am fit and blood pressure is great. Just finished it. God it was good. Only missing some fresh lime juice to top it off.
Then try Taco Bell. Body is always communicating with the mind.

I think its funny when people say vegetarians/vegans are overzealous, because I see nothing short of religious zeal and tribal fear when I casually decline meat at a gathering and everyone present has to make a huge deal and explain how good steak is...its like, bro...I know...I used to eat it all the time...
Also, I'm having bean burgers for dinner tonight.
So delicious

I want Indian food so badly tonight. There is a disturbing lack of Indian food around here. Closest restaurant is 45 minutes away, but it also happens to be like right next to the nearest dispensary, sooooo...I may make a run out yonder.
My only problem with Indian food is that I want like...the whole menu. All of it. It's so hard choosing if it's just for me.

They should have a warning label posted in all Indian restaurants. Caution Garam Marsala is an addictive substance.

Love curry and all the spices. Indian food is amazing and can see why you would want the whole menu.
My three favorites as a cook. 1. Mexican. 2. Indian. 3. Thai
I rarely eat out. One can, of course, research any food and practice and make it just how one likes it. When I eat out I always think, this could be so much better, lol.
And salads. YOUR NOT A MAN IF YOU EAT SALADS! Like David Letterman joked about Wyoming and corrupt man Cheney after his third or fourth heart attack. Can you please just eat a salad once in awhile?

Oh man, I can't stand Indian food. Mostly because it smells like shit and I also have to deal with a lot of Indian people at work. IMO they are the worst race to work for.
Tonight I will be getting take-out from the taco place. Most likely will have 2 Al Pastor Tacos and a Carnita Hauraches.
I downloaded the Michael Jordan documentary to watch while eating too. My family always watches a TV show while we eat. Right now we are rotating Season 3 of Westworld, Season 13 of Always Sunny, and soon to be Michael Jordan. Dinner time is the only time we really get to watch TV together.

We all have our tastes but I agree on the working part. I have seen every season of It is always sunny in Phillie as well as Shameless. I always watch t.v. when eating and stream almost everything. Working on starting a family. Many where I live in Utah would frown upon watching those shows with one's family.
Westworld is amazing as well. People are into the most most banal and boring things media wise here and I don't date people from this state. LDS church controls everything and no seperation of church and state. The laws are horrid.
We call ice cream places Utah bars as I think we have more than other state per capita lol. Candy is dandy but liquor is quicker.
If the majority had their way prohibition would be back and the only way any type of marijuana will be legal here is it is done federally. Which Biden won't do as he is so old school and anti-drug and stills believes it to be a gateway drug. Tired of it. Time to grub on a burrito. Reading this thread is making me hungry.

Edame noodles, broccoli, cheese, and tomato sauce with herbs and a side salad. Freshly made today. I just eat when hungry. Have some patience people. Wow, watched this while eating it.
Learn I guess for idiots. And don't down a bottle of pepto bismol to help when feeling sick from shitty and spoiled food. Common sense.
Right now beer and k-pins at 8:30 in the morning. Breakfast of champions as they used to call it. And don't give me shit how it is bad for you. One pill and some beer. Then a great meal and I am set. Know
ones self and how the body and how it works. Do some research. Many are in the know about such things much more than I am but still, that is beyond stupid IMO. Or try it yourself and prove me wrong.
And I use to think when I was a lot younger Ramon noodles were horrible for me, which they were, but is amazing what the body can digest with zero nutritional balance or even a negative one but still. One feels invincible at that age and in college.
Go for a walk, lift some weights, and look forward to the weather on Memorial day tomorrow as it warms up and another wonderful burrito. Make it taco bell style. I don't eat their garbage but have learned to put tortilla chips in my burrito WITH EVERYTHING IN IT.
Is amazing. Not the corn shell with a soft shell around it but close to it. Quality ingredients. Amazing how the body feels when one eats well.

Pork, to each their own. Pigs eat shit and human bodies.
God I feel fit. Not to belittle anyone but since I gave I meat, dead animal flesh grilled with a tangy BBQ sauce to it, I feel and look a lot better. Complextion and consciousness.
I could care less what people eat. Make my own journey in live, evil, notice what death is backwards. All the havoc it causes in the body health wise? Spooky! Death bringeth death in the body inside and life bringeth life. Lol. Just a joke. Some nutcase said that but he also said raw nuts are good for ones bodily temple. What a IDIOT!
I can use some comedy. Not a preacher like the show which is quite amusing. Man trying to do right.
Animals are my friends and I don't eat my friends. Bernard Shaw. Then watch Cannibal Hollicaust and get why their are human anatomy and DNA isn't that far from it. Enjoy those ribs! We have them as well.

I had about a cup of rice with about a tablespoon mustard mixxed in, and about a teaspoon of cayenne pepper flakes added to it with one fried egg on top.
Super spicy. I've grown to love spicy foods I ordered some hot sauce off amazon. It gets my metabolism going and doesn't burn my butt anymore
Very simple and cost me about 56 cents( American) to make.
EDIT: Oh yes and I added about a 1/4 a teaspoon of pink sea salt from the Himalayas.
I've been keeping track of portions and stuff recently.

This strongly depends on whether or not I manage to squeeze in any significant exercise today.
If so then I'm doing tostadas and elote. If not then probably something a little lighter like a summer salad with protein. My favorite kind of seared and diced chicken, a cut up green apple, diced celery, and goat cheese and walnuts.

If you can ever score a magic bullet for cheap, get one. They were all the rage 10 years ago. On every info commercial, etc.
The neat thing is, the cup IS the blender container so you just make it and don't have to wash a blender AND a cup every time.
Plus, it's really powerful.
And to make it even better getting some chocolate protein powder mix to add... YUMM

I usually use bananas, frozen fruit (berries, pineapple, mango, etc), then a green (baby spinach, kale, arugula, etc), some seeds (chia, hemp, flax), and a protein powder (hemp or other) plus some other goodies that change over time (like herbs, spirulina, goji berries, etc). I love how you can throw so many different ingredients together and it all comes out delicious

Spaghetti with meat sauce. I usually just buy cheap sauce and doctor it up with ground beef/pork and different spices (mostly garlic). It works for me, plus I have leftovers for a couple more meals.
One trick that I use for leftover spaghetti is to warm it up in a large skillet with olive oil rather than in the microwave. This is the way my mother fixed it when I was a kid (before microwave ovens) and it gives it a slightly different flavor.

Speaking of, I also use GOji berries.
Look into Chlorella powder( Spirulina is almost the same, good stuff!)
ALso look into Bentonite clay.. It expands and sweeps toxins out of the body. I've noticed a difference.
Also Psyllium Husk powder. I've noticed a major difference here too.
I'm going to have to get CHia and hemp seeds

Bentonite clay is basically volcanic ash. There's a huge deposit of it in Wyoming USA.
Basically, it's full of microscopic pores that sweep bad stuff out .
Sort of like how Diatomaceous earth is but that's not recommended for consumption, but I have taken it before.
Do you get fresh or dried goji berries ? I got a pound of dried organic ones on amazon for like $12 which is expensive but a pound lasts a long time

I've been holding out on eating dried goji berries the last few years since the first time I heard of them because I want to try them first fresh, which might require me traveling somewhere, which would be great when I'm able to. I think I might have eaten dried ones from Whole Foods' salad bar though by accident or whatever. Don't remember how they taste if I did. Maybe I ate them in some other kind of food combination (health bar, drinks for examples.)

Ate a egg burrito with great spices, grape tomatoes, olives, and avocado. With rock salt and pepper. And a wonderful dressing on top.
I eat one decent meal a day, snack somewhat, workout, and enjoy quality foods. And yes, a lot of beer and pills. Finally got my 1,200 yesterday. Am in a partying mood. ALWAYS REHYRATE! Lol.

Reading posts from this thread. Always makes me hungry. Yet, have to refrain. Discipline? Or not. I can eat myself to death and drain the health care industry and government but I can't grow some fucking shrooms or take lsd or the spirit vine because it has DMT in it which the same as shooting heroin or doing crack.
I hate the system. When one is under it, one questions IME what runs reality. What we are supposed to believe and fear. And suffer under. And believe me, I have suffered. But that experience and some others grounds me out of the fake bullshit and to reality.
Won't now of course but thinking things will change. Like Obama lol. Biden still believes marijuana is a gateway drug. Keep the old guard in charge. Fuck that. Let the dinosaurs die out and let us create a beautiful world. Know thyself.
People make the change in masses. America is becoming that way. I don't give a shit if Biden wore a mask coming out his cave or Trump doesn't. They are puppets. It has to be us that actually makes some changes. Not the next puppet.

Tonight, I heated up a well seasoned with coconut oil 8 inch stainless steel pan, and while it was heating I blended up 3 eggs with 1 tablespoon of homemade shiitake mushrooms salt. It's mostly shiitake, and has garlic, parsley, pepper, and onion. I cut the salt by half so it's mostly just mushroom powder. I whipped the eggs and mushrooms powder up and then poured the omelet.
THe key is to have the pan hot, oiled and ready, or it will stick. So then I just let it simmer until brown, folded it over and then put the lid on.
It fluffed up to about an inch tall! Then I flipped it.
All the while I had some of my homemade bread in the toaster. I made the bread basic. Wheat, yeast, and a bit of oil and salt.
As the toast popped I like it extra crunchy so I put it down again, and I flipped the omelet.. PERFECT!@ I had turned the stove off about the time the toast popped so I pulled the pan off the heat and then I sliced it 6 ways.
While the omlet was cooling and the toast was finishing I made a sauce out of ranch, Tabasco, mustard, and cayenne pepper flakes.
Needless to say the nom noms happened after that.

I seasoned the eggplant before doing the traditional dish. When I make Italian meals I prefer them to either be on the spicy side or the slightly sweet side. Just a tad for the sweet route though. I had some spicy sopprassata that I used to imbue some extra flavor into the eggplant.
Sometimes this is a good choice, like when the eggplant isn’t at its best or you have to prepare in a hurry and it’s too tough or something.
Eggplant hasn’t been great these past months in the markets around where I’m at, but when it is

your a loren lockman fan? I watch his videos but I disagree with a lot of what he says, he thinks you shouldnt consume electrolytes while fasting, he thinks you can only eat fruit and green leafy vegetables, he thinks theres a connection between 5g and corona
I take big issue with the electrolytes thing, without electrolytes all you can do while fasting is lay in bed and be miserable, and it increases the likely hood of refeeding syndrome, thats why he only lets you eat fuck all in his refeeding week, I feel much better getting in ~3000mg sodium and potassium in on the day

Do you sweat the eggplant before you cook it?
http://www.cookeatdelicious.com/vegetables-recipes/how-to-sweat-an-eggplant.html
Really simple and makes a world of difference, especially with tough eggplant. Good for any zucchini or squash dishes as well

No need for an eggplant sauna, just some salt
Seriously I think the difference between good eggplant dishes and bad ones can come often down to whether someone sweat it before they cooked it.
That and sauce. Good sauce is important.

If you use beer instead of yeast in your couch it will taste a lot better and have a batter texture. Takes longer to proof (good 6 hrs) but its soo good!

Nice!
I made a dandelion and clover flower wine last year. Was awesome.
Also, making pizza dough is SOOO easy so I make"pizza" all the time too.
However, some of my stuff is really just thin baked bread with whatever I have on hand. FOr instance my venison pecan "pizza" last night with Shiitake mushroom salt and homegrown parsley.
