Looking to improve my agar (pics)
    #26680424 - 05/19/20 06:00 AM (3 years, 8 months ago)

Hello, I am trying to improve my agar. Any advice would be appreciated. I've got rid of the leftover H20 in my agar. These plates are 2 weeks old and most are second transfer from MS or print. Some are second transfers clones. Are my plates looking healthy? My agar recipe is: 10g agar-agar powder, 10g potato detroxe and 7g detroxe.

Is that 10g potatoes and 7g dextrose?

Maybe make some transfers to some less nutritious agar?

I can’t tell what’s going on in there at all. Is it super thin and transparent in real life? I’d also try a recipe with fewer nutes.

Is that for 500ml water??

I third using less nutrients.

I use like a third of that in mine sometimes. Usually high nute causes fluffy growth so idk whats up with yours. Looks like what I get on soft plates.

Yup, what would you recommend? Rye water?

Do you recommend to change the ingredients completely or to less them down like to 10g agar, 5g potato, 3g detroxe?

I save my grain water (oats) and just add agar.

10 grams agar
500 ml. grain water..

It's been my preferred recipe for few years now.

20 ml. per plate. makes 25 plates..

And light on the top surface would help get better pics.
