Panaeolus cinctus ?? Help plz
    #26679720 - 05/18/20 07:50 PM (3 years, 8 months ago)

Hi guys. I'm new to mushroom hunting and would like help identifying some I found in a family member's pasture.

These were found (already dried out, unfortunately) in a sheep pasture in a shady area near an old bale of hay in southeastern Oklahoma.

I've attached some pics. Like I said, they were already dried out (couldn't make it down to my family's land in time after the last rainfall), but I'd like to know for future reference.

The stems are white and hollow. I tried the bruising test, but with these being so dry nothing happened.

Before pressing them in an attempt to get spore prints, the caps were convex.

Based on the little bit of a spore transfer I was able to get onto white paper, I believe they are black.

Anyway, any help at all would be greatly appreciated. My best guess is that these may be Panaeolus cinctus, but I could be totally wrong.

Thanks!!! (pics below)

That's a guess. A little hard id'ing dried mushrooms, but this is certainly not a panaeolus.
