Guinness record sized knots or wtf?

So I like my ant farm view of this hobby jar. But I can’t figure out what the hell these are. I thought they were knots, but they keep getting bigger and have not turned to pins.
I had a theory that they were holding as knots because the myc was putting its energy into the growing shrooms. I pulled the second flush from this jar three days ago. I figured that pulling those fruits would probably be the trigger for these to go. But they just keep getting bigger. There are a few more like these around the jar that are not quite as large. USB for scale.
As a side thought; does it look too late to throw some additional casing on it? It is a PE jar that I had left over and tossed a bit of coir on to see what would happen. I tried to find some Jiffy 50 + but can’t track any down right now. I did find this Jiffy seed mix that has coir in it that I thought I might experiment with. Has anyone used this before?

I got those things up to an inch in diameter or even more. They have grown in similar conditions as yours. Overly nutritious for its own good.

That’s weird.
It’s PE which blobs but usually only first flush and not perfectly round.

Yep. Just blobs. They can be pretty damn spherical sometimes- especially little ones. And sometimes you'll get some on 2nd flush

Thanks, Shroomies.
So I am giving that Jiffy mix a go as a late casing layer to help with the blobs. We will see what happens. As I mentioned, I couldn’t find the Jiffy 50+ so I am using the coir seed start mix that I did find. I put some in a quart jar, added water to get it to field capacity and pasteurized it in a 65c waterbath for 90 minutes. It doesn’t look like the casing in Frank’s Jiffy TEK due to the coir, but we will see what we see. After adding a bit to the jar I shook it down the sides where the spawn had shrunk from the walls. So that is really about a quarter to half inch of casing all over and not 4 or 5 inches like the picture seems to show.

Actually I am hoping that this is a good test of that mix as a casing layer. My next project is to dial in my PE mono tub game. I am looking at using clones from my first MS monos, in Pasty’s dialed in monos, using this Jiffy mix for casing guided by Frank’s 50/50+ casing. As a lay-scientist, I know that I should limit variables to establish causal relationships. As an enthusiast and an optimist, I am gonna do it all at once and wing it any way. Not that anyone asked, but I had a ritilin and a microdose this morning which makes me very chatty.
