Alutacea / Cinctulus / Fimetaria in Canberra / NSW Australia
    #26678232 - 05/18/20 05:57 AM (3 years, 8 months ago)

I find these often while looking for subs and cyanescens, but have always passed them by because they don't stain. I've done some research and think they might be either Alutacea, cinctulus, or fimetaria?

Habitat:

All found in Canberra, Australia (Brindabella Region), in Eucalypt/Pine forest.
Specimen A is saprotrophic.
Specimen B is always found growing in or very near to wombat scat.
Specimen C is saprotrophic.

Gills:
See Photographs.

Stem:

No Annulus on any.

Specimen A: White, hollow and easily broken (in strong contrast to Subs). Doesn't stain or bruise strongly in any colour.

Specimen B: White at top, tending to pale caramel. Flexible and hollow. *very* slimy when wet - there's a thick layer of it that you can see in the photo. Dark spores under cap. Immediately stains strong yellow/brown when crushed.

Specimen C: More solidy brown, with very pale blue at bottom. Not slimy. Doesn't stain.

Cap:
See photographs. No staining.
Specimen B is always small - never more than 2cm or so diameter.
Specimen C - size typically about the same size as subs

Spore print color:
Specimen A: I left behind, so no spore print (I know, I'm dumb).
Specimen B: Black.
Specimen C: Black / dark purple

Bruising:
See above.

As always, you guys are all amazing and I really appreciate your time and effort.

A: I think is either Marasmius or Gymnopus
B: Protostropharia
C: I think is probably Psilocybe but needs more detailed images.
