Monotubs: pinning, fae, misting, etc

I am struggling to know when to introduce certain conditions to my tubs. I find that a lot of information on here is contradictory and everyone does things differently. So I would love it if you successful monotubbers could chime in here with your proven techniques. Like do you have FAE from the date of spawn, or do you cover the holes? If so when do you start allowing FAE? What do you think of pseudo-casings? Do you just wait to see pins or do you change environmental factors that encourage pinning? I've also heard to mist when the surface is dry, and I've been misting multiple times a day and it still seems to dry out very fast, and that's with minimal FAE (no holes in tub and lid is closed, but not air tight. They are big tubs though... And finally what do you guys think of Pastywhytes's EZ tubs? I had decent success with them but I was still doing spores to grain like a dummy. I have yet to test them with beautiful clean spawn. Got some clean RustyWhyte jars that will be spawned tomorrow into an EZ Tub. I really don't want to mess that up because I'm super stoked about the RWs. Really looking forward to see what you guys are doing successfully. Thanks in advance.

I’m going answer the last statement first, I cannot stress enough how important getting agar technique down is, that’s where I would start. In my grows years ago I did the whole thing covering holes until colonization but after restarting this year I’ve found the evidence stating putting straight into fruiting conditions is overwhelming, much easier. For patsywhytes tubs their excellent I got like 50 of them. Misting and FAE you got get an eye for what’s happening with the fruits and just recognize the calling signs. Hopes this helps, most important patience and experience.

Thank you Pip. I've got the agar down now and I love it. Can't believe how long I went without it. I've got some clones pinning right now, they are the ones making me ask all these questions. The RustyWhyte that will be spawned tomorrow is pretty and clean from agar, will be going into an EZ Tub. I'm excited to see the RW's themselves and excited to see the EZ Tub preform with actually clean spawn.
