Prozac dulling my trip

I've been on ssri's since I was like 12 and never had any issues tripping on them. Recently within this past year my trips have gotten less and less intense, I took like 2.7 grams of psilocybes ovoids last night and barely felt anything no visuals whatsoever. I'm thinking of lowering my dose. Rn I take 40mg a few times a week thinking of dropping that down or getting off Prozac all together. I'm also on 16mg of suboxone I think that may also be dulling the trip but I'm not sure. Any thoughts do you think I'll ever be able to trip again? Kinda worried cause I've heard of people never being able to trip again after taking ssri's for long periods of time.

Dude don’t despair. You’ve come to the right place for advice and support. I have been depressed for like over 40 years. When my wife left me 11 years ago, 10 years after my daughter had died, the depression became all over-powering. The closest I have ever come to actually doing it. I’m not saying it. A neighbour came round and that was all the support I needed.
But more as a way to persuade my wife to come home, I went to have counselling and I also went on SSRIs. I was on high doses of sertraline, 100mg per day, for 7 years dude. They served their purpose; my wife and daughter came home giving that second chance I needed. But they didn’t stop my depression. If anything, after a few years, they made life much worse - can’t remember the medical term for it, but basically I lost the ability to find joy, in anything. Went to see Muse at Manchester Arena, a band I’ve wanted to see live for years. I could not get excited, rather fit was all about the hassle of getting there, getting home etc. After the concert I realised I had enjoyed it!!! but also realised something had to change....
Subscribed to the shroomery, did my research, decided on psilocybin, and for almost 5 years now dude I’ve been completely SSRI free; and getting happier by the year.
It wasn’t a bed of roses though dude. I weaned myself off the SSRIs, after many failed attempts with the doctor: 1 week half dose, 1 week quarter dose, 1 week quarter dose every other day, next week zero.
I took my first 5g dose of golden teachers Psilocybe cubensis after One week on zero, and barely anything happened. The trips gradually got stronger, and I got more towards the psychedelic headspace: but it took 5 months total abstention from SSRIs before that first rewarding trip. It was worth the effort though
What kept me sane during those 5 months not tripping and not on SSRIs? Absolutely hellish withdrawal symptoms. “Brain zaps”. Dizziness, nausea, loads of other weird shit? I learnt to grow mushrooms! I did loads of research. I went foraging for Liberty Caps - about 4 months off SSRIs I took 7.5g liberty caps in a tea, ie. about a double heroic dose. That was the closest to a good trip while my brain was still clearing the SSRIs from my system and unblocking the 5HT_2a receptors :-)
Get off the SSRIs dude. Speak to your doctor, but don’t be afraid to go it alone. The mushrooms can and will help you. Do your research.
Best of luck DJ Ed

By the way, dude, did you know when they banned most research into LSD, they then developed Prozac. It works on the same brain receptors that LSD and Psilocybin (and DMT?) work on....
