Growing and strain tips?

Hey guys, I've decided I'm gonna give cultivating a shot, I see theres alot of different strains and I'm new to this, besides eating them when I was younger. Does anyone have advice on what strain I should get? Is there a difference in the trips and effects? I want to look into micro dosing as well. Any growing advice is appreciated too. Thanks!

Grow one of the variations of P. Cubensis. Golden Teacher, B+, etc. Research a SGFC, a SAB (optional, but will lower contamination rate), and the PF tek. The Mushroom info drop down at the top will explain the basics.

Here is my 2 cents. Don’t buy a kit, huge waste of money. Take the money you save from not buying a kit and buy a pressure canner, you won’t regret it. And above all else, keep your grow a secret.

There is a vendor list somewhere on here, any of them should be fine.
The PF tek is a pretty simple way to grow for the first time. It’s all fair simple once you get a hang of the terminology and understand the process and when and how to be sterile.

It has all kinds of good information. Read away and any questions you have feel free. Welcome

If you plan on getting serious with this hobby I would get a pressure cooker (23qt presto), learn agar, and make a still air box. Get some spores, grow them out on agar, do some transfers until the mycelium is looking good and clean, transfer the agar to grain jars, then to some shoeboxes or a monotub. The following link is probably everything you would ever need to know. If you just want to grow a few shrooms for fun then do the PF tek, I've never done it, but many new to growing have had success. The best thing you can do is do your research. Best of luck!

As for variety it doesn't really matter, any normal cubensis will be ok. Just stay away from penis envy varieties and the Koh Samui super strain.

Just pick whatever variety sounds cool to you. They're mostly the same shit.

Personally I’d skip pf tek and do wbs to shoeboxes.
I found them much easier than fruiting cakes and yielded way more for the same amount of time and less work.
Like people have said they’re all similar.
Mazatepec has been very fast and pins very easily ime though.

Yeah, if you can get your hands on a PC, grains are definitely worth it. I think you'd actually need less time going agar -> grain than doing cakes with way more to show for.
