Cap first mutants

A variety that I've cultivated before (Stropharia), is producing weird results that I've never seen before.
Most notably, several fruit are growing backwards with the cap first. A few of them even picked themselves and were found lying on the sub when I first noticed, leaving a small but perfectly shaped fruit.
As well, the way the fruit are growing is a mystery. When you look at it, you'll see that almost all of the fruit seem to point in different directions while being almost perpendicular to the sub.
At this point in the game, my FAE game is solid, and it's def not a reason for the fruit to grow like that.
I wonder if I clone one of the backwards fruit, will it produce the same results?
This variety has been growing out on agar, and after the 5th transfer it was nearly perfect rhizomorphic growth, and colonized the tub quickly.
Any ideas what might cause this if it's not genetics? I'm literally using the same process I use for all my totes, and I get consistent results otherwise.

Iirc a guy on reddit said that white spots on the caps and weird growth was because of a contam named verticulum. Never researched it myself tho, your pictures just reminded me of it.

Those lines running up your fruits are quite possibly that. Just from some quick research on it, your fruits show it pretty clearly.

I don’t see any bacteria, those dark stripes are normal a few usually have them.
That second picture is crazy you should clone it and see if it comes up. Then you could try to breed a clone that makes capless stems and pass cultures of it around like enigma.

Thanks for your reply, I'm 95% certain it's not vert or any other kind of contam. If it is, maybe it has only slightly affected the fruit, but highly unlikely due to how my first flush came out. I'm isolating this variety and cloning the unique mutations (or what looks to be) and see if I can't replicate what this variety is producing.
Have a look below for a few updated pics of the first flush and a few of the mutations!

Here are a few updated pics of the first flush. It didn't produce a full canopy like I'm used to, but the hyphal knotting/second pins (hard to see in the pic) are promissing
A few details to how this variety grew out: 5 agar transfers before going from agar to grain. I almost always use millet. far more innoc points compared with rye etc. Growth in spawn was 100% rhizo and extremely uniform...took approx 2 weeks to colonize 100%. Substrate: Coir+verm+gypsum. From Birth to hyphal knotting/adding FAE: 3 days From FAE to Pins: 4 days From Pins to Fruit: 3 days!
I'm really impressed on how fast it produced once birthed. I used 3/4 quart spawn in a 19.2L tote. First flush ended up being 245g wet.
One last interesting note re the backwards mutations. As mentioned they just pic themselves when mature and leave perfect fruit. Even though they are attached to the cap/substrate, their own body weight makes them sever themselves from the root, leaving no signs of connection. Even the cap itself has no obvious marks. Also, seemingly does not drop spores... Though I'm doubtful, wouldn't it be awesome to isolate a variety that just pics itself when mature leaving behind a perfect sub for future flushes?

I'm pumped to get into cultivating pans! I've got Pan Cyan swabs enroute, but have to get what I need to get them the FAE/temp they need.

Not yet, I haven't needed anything other than what I have. But this week I should have prints for pan cyan and plan on making a martha.
