What a cute lil kit
Good luck, Mazatepecas are one of my favorites
Also, Id recommend adding some perlite to inside the bag. You'll get better results.

Well hello you lot, didn't realise you were all here lol.
So, 7 days and nothing was happening and my kit seemed to be drying out?? Said 7-10 days no opening bag but I just had to put some water in there.
I don't know if it was the water, time or amazing weather we've had but this is the last 3 days and I just wet myself every morning I look. So exciting lol.
So this is the last 3 days day 7-10...morning and night.
And this morning..... Yeyeeyeyyehaaaaa
I've named the short fat one to the right Graham as he reminds me of an ex bf. The far right Nigel.... Lol...
Names for the others welcomed โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ

Oh you know, Much Cult has a lot of activity, thus here we are!
I think those directions are wack. Not misting for 7-10 days? Dont open the bag? Not good advice. If your kit-cake looks dry, mist away. Just lightly mist the fruits, mist more heavily on mycelium. Thats what i do, works well for me.
Looking good so far.
Not sure on names. Brock maybe? Oden?

Something about only carbon dioxide in the bag to start with? You were to mist it twice on putting in the bag.
I followed these with the kit.... http://www.growkit.com/growkit-instructions/
I've been misting with my cute mister but trying NOT to get the fruits and just generally going for the bag lol. I should go for the white bits though?

The white bits is the mycelium, which colonizes the substrate (your little kit tray). Mycelium loves water droplets.
Yeah, mycelium/shrooms do not like CO2. They like fresh air (always), hence FAE (Fresh Air Exchange).

No but it does happen because of the ideal microclimate created on the side of the container (high humidity and high FAE). I would recommend "birthing" that cake-kit onto the bottom of the plastic fruiting bag, bottom side down. Make sure your hands are clean and be gentle with it.

They grow where conditions are best suited for them, thus side pins are frequent, especially for beginners who donโt yet know how to dial everything in. My tubs have a lot of side pins on the second flush and onward.
But itโs perfectly fine for them to grow there in terms of safety, just can be a pain in the ass when it comes time to cultivate.
Also, please name one Nebuchadnezzar. I think thatโs a name it would like

What do you mean by birthing, opening the plastic?? Also when it comes to second flush should I find another container? X

Birthing as in releasing the cake-kit from its plastic tupperware container and placing the cake-brick back inside the plastic fruiting bag. It will look a lot better too. Just make sure not to damage the fruits growing. Go slow, be gentle.

So this is the outcome.... I gently pushed the bottom and wriggled with clean hands.
Now I am feeling better lol. Thinking I'd be watching all the poor squished shrooms.
