mushrooms growing 1 week after I cut down a tree, can you ID them?

I'm in the Wichita Kansas (USA) area. This is in a residential yard. I have some corkscrew willow trees. One was dying (losing bark, and sprouting mushrooms (maybe inky cap?) on ground around the base. I cut the tree down a week ago. The cut up tree has been sitting in the shade during the last week, in which time we got a lot of rain. Now I see its sprouting mushrooms.
There a few of these mushrooms on the trunk (dried up) that I saw when it cutting down. Now that its wet, they're sprouting on several logs.
Any idea what these are?

the dried-ish ones on the trunk are Auricularia auricula-judae. Not sure on the growth on the cut spot, maybe the start of some spongipellis?

Thanks guys!
To clarify: the ones in the picture on the trunk are not dried. They grew within the last week (since I cut it down and it got rained on). As I was cutting it down, I noticed a few dried & shriveled mushrooms on the trunk that I think are the same thing. But I didn't take a picture of the dried ones.
Googling for "wood ear" or "Auricularia auricula-judae" brings up a lot of images that look exactly like what I have.
Is it similar to anything dangerous? I'm just wondering if I should eat it or how much research I need to do before eating it.
The only mushrooms I've ever eaten came from the store. But a couple weeks ago I bought some oyster mushroom spawn and inoculated some logs earlier this week. Its amusing that after going to all that, I might have some edible mushrooms in my own back yard.

Nah those are safe. They’re a weird texture, but some people love em.

I'm up to 5 logs (around 5" in diameter, 18" in length) that have sprouted wood ear. My neighbor from China is excited.
I have a couple growing this, which I think may be inedible spongipellis?

could be Spongipellis. I would also compare with Antrodia species
