House plants have pests
    #26672740 - 05/15/20 02:16 PM (3 years, 8 months ago)

I have a few different house plants that are having pest problems. It's kind of getting out of hand. I see gnats flying around and in the soil. They look like white aphids to me. Pretty sure they are biting me too. I have been pruning and spraying them with soap and water and also eucalyptus and lemon spray. I have even tried putting garlic in the soil. At this point I am thinking to just transplant them all again even tho I did recently. I've also read online about neem oil and other methods. Does anyone have any input to how i can help these plants?

I realized that i probably posted this in the wrong forums maybe I should have did it in the pub or somewhere else. Please feel free to move it to wherever.

yeah sucks

garden center plants or whatever should also be quarantined when they are new additions

i make insecticidal soap spray by combining water with SOFT green soap, no dish washing detergent or anything.. and i add drops of lavender and cedar oil.

i also use mycopesticides, namely a Beauveria bassiana and Metarhizium brunneum strain, mostly experienced with the former.. pretty great!

even so i plan on adding spinosad, i ran out of pyrethrins.. a bunch of shit brooding here unfortunately
