Pretty sure ive got my PT 2/5 are taking off very slowly. what can I do with just one or two jars ? maybe shred and mix with coir im really new so this is my first attempt ever. I also have 10 BRF with GT and all 10 are showing good signs of myc I believe. kinda wanted to shred half maybe and just throw the other half on perlite but I wanna here peoples thoughts since im new  and this is my first grow. heres some pics the tall ones are the pt and the shortys are the GT. I now know to get the small ones im pretty sure they'll be done quicker and got inoculated 5 days later lol. Also have some promising gt on agar im gonna grow out but looks like its outrunning the bacteria in one spot waiting on plates to come in the mail.

you can shred cakes into coir if you want to try that. It is a good way to dip your toes into tubs. But since you are new, i would suggest just fruiting them in a humidity chamber to get a feel for how things are.

If they are from MS, fruit in a SGFC. MS is not sterile, and the more you try and break it up to recolonize a substrate, the more likely a contamination will appear. Agar to grain is the best method for bulk substrate to minimize contaminants.

So you suggest looking I to sgfc teks ? Thank you I appreciate the advice. Ya I was thinking of doing half shredded so I could be more prepared for a future grain run. Can I use the half pint tall Mason jars as grain jars. Amazon fucked up and sent me the tall ones instead of the wide ones the other day and I'm deecing if I want to bother return in g them or if I can use them for something else. Thanks for the input I appreciate it. Bout to put my EC and PT and Fiji on agar today. Gt is developing on agar as we speak.

Ok that definitely makes sense ? Do you think shredding like 2 cakes of the 10 would be smarter than I just kinda wanna understand the concept of bulk also just half some bulk casting mix from midwest I'd like to try to use. I was a dumbass and begot I did a ton of research ordered a kit like every noob on here it did not work and those ass holes suck and false advertise about spore inoculation via grain bag they dont tell you it's the worst possible way to do it. My bags got thrown out but I have this extra stuff now to play with.

Live and learn. Emphasis on the learn. You’re in the right place for it.

Edit: and fruit your cakes as cakes.
