mycelium fluffing a bit?
    #26670146 - 05/14/20 07:35 AM (3 years, 8 months ago)

So i had this bacterial plate and i transferred it to a antibiotic agar and it looked clean , after that this is the next transfer which is regular MEA recipe

Looks clean to me but i can see two type of growth here , its rhizomorphic and fluffing upwards just a bit and i was wondering if this is something i should be worried about?
I'm planning to isolate it more to get only rhizomorphic growth but from what i've heard this fluffy thing and going up is not always good and can be some kind of mold? so help me out here
thanks

The mycelial growth pattern on the plate appears normal, nothing I would worry about.
However I do see a slight discoloration in the middle left of the growth which may be clumping of agar or bacteria. Take transfers from your nicest rhizo edges.
