Optimal dose 4 wet cubes

The following is a series of questions concerning only wet weight in mushrooms of the Psilocybe cubensis species. Relevant comparisons are dry cubes that are a 1/10 ratio. Wet weight may just refer to recently picked and fresh cubes. Example of wild or cultivated are acceptable. I am using wild cubes for a tea recipe. Tolerance is a month without tripping
Is 50 grams of wet Psilocybe cubensis going to be standard for your routine level 5 trips? Should the dose for a level 5 start lower than 50 grams? Is a dose for a strong level 5 above 50 grams recommended? Is it better to mix in immature cubes or to brew separate? Is there a green tea to recommend for cubensis?
Cooking: Mostly whole shrooms Is chopping recommended? And is 20 minutes over heating the psilocin? Are the psilocybin rich cubes easily damaged by over cooking?
Brewing the teas usually are 10-18 minutes. Searching for a strong green tea to cover the bitter mush flavor
Serving 1 brew is 8 oz of tea. Are multiple servings worth brewing or should there even be a larger size of servings? Possibly brewing less if possible to contain cubes within 6 oz per 50 grams Raspberry tea, honey chamomile and hopefully a green tea with a very strong taste

50 grams is what most considered a heroic dose that should give you a level 5 trip. It takes me 70+ of strong cubes to get there but I handle shrooms really well. I’d imagine most people would come close to loosing reality on 50g of most shrooms. I prefer to chop my mushrooms up before making tea but some say it doesn’t matter. I don’t have a green tea to recommend but I’d just use something you like. I like to make my tea first before throwing in the mushrooms. I normally boil 2 cups of water and turn off the stove and throw a tea bag in for a few min. The longer you wait the stronger it will be. Then I throw away the tea bag and add the mushrooms and boil for 15-20min. I also like to add some lemon juice at the begging of the shroom boil, just a tablespoon or 2. You should fully boil the mushrooms it won’t hurt the potency just make sure you watch and stir it so you don’t boil it over. Then strain and some sugar/honey or whatever else you want, the tea I make comes out tasing good, it has a little shroomy taste but most people don’t have any problems getting it down and many enjoy it. Good luck to you Fasten your seatbelt if you’ve never experienced a level 5 trip before, it’s a wild ride.

Here is Shroomery dosage calculator: https://www.shroomery.org/6257/Magic-Mushroom-Dosage-Calculator Dried - 4.92 gr Fresh - 46.29 gr Fresh corrected towards lower weight because of higher psilocin content. Also IME fresh feels better. And try not to build up expectations, start low, move higher. Be grateful. Mushlove to you, brother.

OP, I’ve never had mushrooms that were only 90% water. That is a very rough rule of thumb. Generally somewhere between 90% and 95%, which makes a big difference to the dried weight:-
90% water: 50g wet = 5g dry = heroic 95% water: 50g wet = 2.5g dry = level 2, level 3.
However, you must also remember you will lose 50% of your psilocin when drying, so trips from wet are always stronger than trips from dry.
So your 50g wet will probably equate to 3g - 3.5g dry equivalent. Enjoy

I want to go for a higher potency that makes more servings to really engulf these shrooms in a boil, but I’m going to go with a cup of water and 60 g for this cup. I had realized the shrooms get taller than the water is deep, and if I crush them up then I can get a strong cup anyway. I just think more water would help, yet I’m not going there yet. This isn’t my first round of tea making and I still want to gain some experience with this. Some of my shrooms are half dried and some are immature or a few are kind of big

One more consideration. Boil, strain, fill with fresh water, boil, strain. Combine and reduce to desired volume. That way more actives end up in liquid.
