Found these in a backyard garden bed growing in swarms. Someone else pulled them out FYI don’t burn me ? just curious to see if anyone knows what they are or if edible.

Habitat: Where does it grow? Eg. woods, pasture, state, province, country, altitude, etc. What does it grow on? Eg. soil, dung, wood (dead, living, what kind of wood?), etc. In garden bed with soil and a little wood bits
Gills: Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc. Dark brown
Stem: Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc. White and yellow, spongy, with little serration pattern Cap: Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc. Brown goldish
Spore print color: Not fussed about spore print since I’m not going to eat them
Bruising: Color that the mushroom bruises, if any. Maybe orange
Other information: Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.

Huh that's interesting if they are, does that means subs could potentially grow in that same environment since that is an indicator species?

Possibly. I Don't Know Where You Are Located, Psilocybe Subaeruginosa Can Only Be Found Growing Wildy In Some Parts Of The World.
Also, In Order For A Certain Mushroom Species To Grow, There Has To Be Spores From Said Species In Said Area.

I agree with Leratiomyces ceres. tell whomever pulled them up that they are beneficial to the garden because they break down the substrate into nutrients that your plants can benefit from and the mushrooms will not harm anything.

More likely to be a species of Pholiota due to the brown spores shown covering the caps. Would need your location to narrow down species.
