What do you do about the bouncy text?
    #26667964 - 05/13/20 05:02 AM (3 years, 8 months ago)

It is not my intention to share psychedelics with strangers, so I don't want to talk about this.

However, I may have to, because I can "tell" that it "might seem like others are wondering and will critique me if I don't say something."

The very nature of that logic means I am correct, and they are wrong.

However, they refuse to accept that, which means I still have to say something about it or they'll use it as an excuse to manipulate others and spread rumors about my performance - one's performance in anything being an indicator of their ability to excel in other categories such as work and getting along well with others of both sexes, which implies they'll be able to put "food" on the table. They want to "change" the system so that everything is given to them so their frustration turns into a reward instead of the usual suffering.

I grew up in the 90's before the internet made everyone feel like a genius and entitled. Something also happened recently that made everyone think they're smarter than me, so they also use that as an excuse to manipulate me in any case.

In shamanism, which I studied, they enter trance states. Phlegm is important. Another important thing about shamans is they cure and can suck illnesses out of patients. The illness takes the form of a dart. It is possible to make a real dart, but sorcerers also shoot pathogenic ones too.

When I have done psychedelics, it makes text bouncy and wavy. Psychedelics used to make you go crazy, unleash latent schizophrenia, and the conspiracy was drugs made you a loser, such as pot. However, most people I know feel I don't do a good job "explaining" what they're like so now they want to try them. In this unique scenario, they don't have pay any tribute toward what inspired them to seek it out.

Recently, I did art. I never meant to convey the total psychedelic experience through out. Someone got mad at me because I didn't post bouncy text, then they tried to make me make some, saying whatever, I guess, and post it, but I didn't. Instead, I made it, on purpose, and I'll explain why soon, like the "Spider-Woman" text font on 70's Marvel comics. In Harry Potter, they have animated paper but in real life it doesn't do that.

They must have thought I was trying to do that then accused me of being ignorant.

(The way I'm typing this might sound "humurous" to readers.)

Not long after, I "heard" someone imply that you need Adobe After Effects to make bouncy text.

I didn't want to say anything because I wasn't trying to make bouncy text, however, I have to say something since there's been confusion.

The nature of the bouncy text with that means you can't "depict the colors changing from R-B-G", which didn't seem to matter to anyone else.

I can do it in a different program but it will "take too long" and I won't get paid for it, nor was that what I was even trying to do.

I don't post random stuff so others can see it as a "challenege" and try to do what I clearly set them up to try and make it seem like they "noticed" something and deserve "brownie points" for bringing it up for some reason, then they'll use that as inspiration to "impress" someone else for their delusional notion they'll look like they perform well compared to others on their "team."

In some of the best art that is inspired by psychedelics, you often can't tell that there is any psychedelic inspiration at all. That's not 100% true all the time (alex grey, etc.), but often it's much more amateurish to have something that looks dead-on like the psychedelic experience.

Anyone who takes acid or eats some mushrooms can blatantly try to rip off the visuals. The really good stuff is often much more subtle. It takes inspiration from the psychedelic experience, but doesn't directly steal from it. It hides its origins in a way and does something original and different. It uses psychedelics like a tool to go somewhere else. So it's not just kalaedoscopes and pretty colors and bouncing text (which any idiot could do), but something unique and original. Again, not always true, but I think there's something to be said for psychedelic inspired works that are not obviously psychedelic in any way.

It sounds like you were doing some art, and someone complained that it wasn't stereotypically psychedelic enough. Well, in my opinion, they're a fool for suggesting that it should be. First of all, "bouncy text" is not actually really a psychedelic visual. The actual visuals involving text with LSD are MUCH more complex than text simply "bouncing." Saying that bouncing text is a psychedelic visual is like drawing a stick figure and claiming that it's a realistic depiction of a person. Further, bouncing text can be annoying or distracting under many circumstances or if overused. I've used effects that cause text to "bounce" in various ways before, but only sparingly and almost never as a psychedelic reference.

Anyway, I think you had good taste and didn't want to include stereotypical overused effects, and it sounds like someone else with much less taste came along and said you should. Well, don't listen to that person, that's my advice.

Having said all that, your post is almost impossible to follow or comprehend. I think you might want to take some days to look after your mental health.

The wavy text presets don't include the option to change color. When all those people starting shoving the wavy or bouncy text in my face it was as if to show that they knew. That isn't what I was trying to do. It's like wearing tie-dye.

Why would I wear that? To advertise to cops and narcs that I "know" about psychedelic drugs, or to show others so that it could enable them to seek them out? That's why I don't wear tie-dye.

Bouncy text I agree, the rest of this is rather confusing.........can you clarify that part in the middle please?
