Whangarei NZ ID request
    #26667738 - 05/13/20 12:11 AM (3 years, 9 months ago)

Habitat:
Where does it grow? At my friends house..... in old pine wood chip
Gills:
White/Cream, attached/semi attached, gills.

Stem:
Length 40-50mm, diameter 25-30mm, colour white/cream.

Cap:
Diameter 20-25mm, colour orangey brown, texture moist, conical/spherical bit of both, concave.

Spore print color: the spore print is underway
Very important!

Bruising:
minimal light blue bruising where I snapped the stem, the photo with the cap on tinfoil is after 20-30 mins, some blue staining round the rim of the cap.

Thanks for any replies

Psilocybe subaeruginosa

Very pale gills, almost sporeless.

Thanks Inski when you mention the very pale gill being almost sporeless, is that because of picking when it is not fully developed? I checked the spore print which I attempted to take over the day on tin foil but nothing. I have put it on white paper now and am leaving it over night.

No, the specimen is mature enough to show the dark purple-brown gills if it was normal, it's more likely to be sterile, try the print half on white paper half on black.

Also inski I posted a few days ago about the mushroom in my avatar. I ended up doing a spore print of an older mushroom that I found under a neighbouring tree and got a small print from it. Rodge the retard point out that my original find identified as  P. angulospora did no leave a spore print so they couldn't be the same. he seemed sure that they were P. tasmaniana saying they were often found growing together.
these are the pics

Yes, the one in your signature is P. angulospora, the images here don't have enough detail to make any sort of id sorry.
