I'm going to start looking into it.
Do you guys have any advice for heart health ? Is veganism really a good idea for this ?

This is a pretty vague question, are you worried about a specific condition or just health in general?
Ger your cardio in, 3-4 times a week at least.
Fix your diet, fat from plant sources only.
Garlic seems to be a cheap and beneficial resource.

It's funny you mention this, because ever since I got an actual pulse oximeter I've been tracking my resting heart rate, heart health, and general fitness a bit more diligently. I think most modern phones are outfitted with the ability to act as a pulse ox as well. Tonight mine is a bit higher than usual. I think I'm a bit anxious. Or having a harder than usual time recovering from a long run today..but that was like a couple hours ago.
Exercise(particularly cardio...obviously) and a healthy diet will get most of us where we need to go. Lots of fish or fish oil supplements. Magnesium might not be such a bad idea, depending on your diet.

That's the one I ordered, but if you have a semi-late model phone you don't really need one.
I would start with vegetarianism before making the jump to veganism, if you're not already, personally
And I don't think veganism is necessary - just cut down on animal products.

I think the Meditteranean diet fad is actually a pretty good guideline. I'm not carb phobic tho lol.

Thanks love meditteranean food and that life style.
I can ride my bike really fast all day and my heart rate barely goes up. I'm not sure if thats a bad thing ?
When i get really sad my heart rate goes super low. I'm concerned about heart attack.
I've had two of my cousins die from widowmaker heart attacks barely at 30. They were in America and kind of living a American life style. Canada being the same thing.
Eating mostly plants might be good. Non of the fake meat or anything processed though.

Generally, a lower resting heart rate is better. It can even apparently predict future heart health. So I wouldn't worry too much about that.
You sound like you're in pretty decent physical condition, so keep it up .
Maybe see a doctor since you've got some family history, they might do like an ekg and some other tests or something like that just to rule out abnormalities. Can't hurt!

Heart attacks happen from poor nerve supply to the heart and it shuts down. As long as you are getting enough b12 folate and b6 you shouldn't worry about it. Unless your ldls are high then you should exercise more and watch fat and carb intake.

I'm a nutritionist and personal trainer for a living, OP. I do this shit daily. I have an actual track record of success with several dozens of clients losing weight and improving hearth health (bloodwork proof)!
PM if any questions.
