be getting some fresh morels and was thinking of deep frying them. Never tried them. So what do you think would be the best way to eat'em? Whats their taste like?

Best way for me is to cut them in half verticaly
then heat a frying pan with a little olive oil
Make up some toast with real butter
Place the hole halfs in the pan, cook one side flip
cook the other then place on the toast. This brings
out the flavour, which is very different to other mushrooms,
and needs to be tasted to be explained

but is it a mushroomy taste? Or a meaty taste like portobellos? Ya think i'll like it? I LOVE button mushrooms and portobellos. Please try to describe it anyway you can.

depending on the size, you can stuff them (clean them out first, bugs and shit gets lodged in there) then batter and fry them, or cut them into rings and infuse cream with that and some Fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary) and throw that over bowtie pasta. Morels are very dense and dry, unlike foodservice or button mushrooms and have an earthyness that I swear acts like nature's msg. There high price in the market is justifiable.
