ID Request and Galerina(?) for comparison
    #26665795 - 05/12/20 05:21 AM (3 years, 8 months ago)

New member! Semi-experienced based on minimal research, intuition and friend's guidance (bad, i know). Finally now getting into professional identification and spore printing and thought I would test my knowledge here. All except last pic I think are subs. Last one may be galerina - picked on purpose (bad, i know) to compare spore print color and understand what 'rusty' really looks like. Your help is greatly appreciated! Melbourne, Victoria.

#1 Sub? (first 3 pics = fresh, last pic = 12hrs later)

Habitat:
Soil under pine tree, pine needles, long green & straw grass, 10 meters from river.

Gills:
- light brown/golden/tan
- ?attached?
- dark brown/purple veil

Stem:
- length 5cm, width 0.5cm
- thick, mild twist
- hollow
- chocolate/maroon veil at top, white, tan, blue/green, ?black? bottom
- shiny (a bit)

Cap:
- diameter 2.5cm
- tan/golden/yellow, blue/green around edge
- soft
- spherical mostly
- convex

Spore print color:
Dark chocolate/maroon

Bruising:
Blue/green

Other information:
Earthy scent

Image#2 Sub?(first 3 pics = fresh, last pic = 12hrs later)

Habitat:
Soil under pine trees, pine needles, long green grass, 30 meters from river.

Gills:
- medium to dark brown (seems quite old though)
- ?some attached?

Stem:
- length 3cm, width 0.2cm
- ?hollow?, so thin hard to tell, small hole left after cutting stem
- blue at top, tan/golden

Cap:
- diameter 1.3cm
- pale yellow, tan/medium brown surrounding point, green/blue at point & blotches around rest of cap
- nipple like i.e. quite flat but convex edge, concave dip, convex center point

Spore print color:
Dark chocolate/maroon

Bruising:
Blue/green, ?almost black? 12 hours later ?due to age?

Other information:
Earthy scent

#3 Sub? (first 3 pics = fresh, last pic = 12hrs later)

Habitat:
Soil, not under but near eucalyptus trees, long green grass, straw grass, bark, leaves, 30 meters from river.

Gills:
- light brown/golden/tan
- ?attached?
- heavily covered with purple/maroon veil

Stem:
- length 5cm, width 0.3cm
- thick relative to small cap
- hollow
- many vertical slits at top but still connected (like a DIY paper lantern)
- slight blue/green near top, white, tan, golden
- shiny (a bit)

Cap:
- diameter 1.5cm
- tan/golden/yellow, blue/green around edge, blue/green tinge
- soft
- spherical mostly, small point in middle with faint blue ring
- convex

Spore print color:
Dark chocolate/maroon

Bruising:
Blue/green, some ?black? or ?very dark blue? at stem bottom

Other information:
Earthy scent

#4 Sub? (bottom left = fresh, foil background = 12hrs later, bottom right = 2 days later)

Habitat:
Soil under pine tree, pine needles, long green & straw grass, 10 meters from river.

- pale yellow/golden/tan
- ?some attached?

- shiny (a bit)

Cap:
- diameter 2.7cm
- tan/golden/pale yellow, blue/green point, some brown/maroon edge
- soft
- some speckles
- spherical mostly, with small point
- convex

Spore print color:
Dark chocolate/maroon

Bruising:
Blue/green

Other information:
Earthy scent
#5 Subs? (bottom 2 = fresh, think top one is a sub too but I am too unsure so ruled it out)

Habitat:
Soil under pine tree, pine needles, long green  straw grass, 10 meters from river.

Gills:
- yellow/golden/tan
- ?unattached?
- slight dark brown/purple veil

Stem:
- length 5.5cm, width 0.5cm
- hollow
- chocolate/maroon veil at top, white, some tan, slight blue/green,
- shiny (a bit)

Cap:
- diameter 2cm
- golden, blue/green around edge
- soft
- spherical or conical? round but with a point
- convex

Spore print color:
no print sorry

Bruising:
Blue/green

Other information:
Earthy scent

#6 Galerina?

Habitat:
Soil, near eucalyptus trees, dry leaves, some green grass.

Gills:
- orangey brown,tan
- ?unattached?

Stem:
- length 4.5cm, width 0.6cm
- hollow (thin hole)
- white/tan/orange?
- rough, peely looking

Cap:
- diameter 4cm
- dark golden but more rusty
- rough looking, a bit flaky
- flat, kind of nipple-like (edge convex, then concave, convex center point) but with less pointy

Spore print color:
rusty, orange, red, A LOT of spores (i did this test because i thought the other/subs(?) prints were red toned. But if THIS is red, the subs are definitely maroon/chocolate brown)

Bruising:
Didn't touch it enough soz

Other information:
Cleaning chemicals! Strong, stingy! Sneeze-inducing. Very different to the others.

That first pic is confusing, but the 2nd and most definitely the 3rd pic are subs.

The first five photos are psilocybe subaeruginosa. Number six could be a galerina.

Number 6 doesn't look like galerina could be inocybe

thanks! had a look on mushroomobserver, may be inocybe sensu lato which appears to grow in the area
