Gizmo I’m gonna hit up the guy we got swabs from and see what his take on this is. When my first pins came up I said something like “guess that’s what I get for buying spores from some random place” and one of the TCs said the guys legit or a friend or something.
I’m curious why the type I got never showed up until the last couple months. So weird.
I did two grows off the germ plate and both looked the same.
pretty sure the guy is a shroomery member but I may be mistaken on that.
I am curious what his response is too...I have melmac on grain right now fingers crossed it isn't reverted again

How long ago did you obtain spores from this source? Far as I know everyone who has received these suspected "reverting" genetics (or a possible mislabel) has received them relatively recently I think
I wonder if you sourced them a while back? Maybe you got more stable genetics?
Have you taken any swabs and tried to grow any out from spores again yourself?
I actually got my most recent spores from a dude who was growing them, he got them from this source but he printed caps himself....so /i wonder if maybe this time I will get lucky

He's not a sponsor so I didn't bother censoring myself. Saying it's for "microscopy purposes only" is like saying AFOAF or SWIM lol, everyone including the DEA know's exactly what that means.

If the spores were truly being sold for microscopy purposes you'd expect to see pictures of magnified spores and instructions for identification etc above the varietal names instead of flushes of fat dicks. I'll be more mindful in the future though.

My uncertainty on that aspect of forum rules was why I left it out of my original post. Since someone else brought it up I just nodded my head lol...
Spores recived mid december 2019
Ran the og too & had some nice clone candidates but was overall a poor MS performance. I looked at their website & noticed it is no longer listed. Was similar on appearence to the TP. I think the clones will fare much better.
No Swabs have been taken YET as I have minimal time to disperse to the 
If 1 trusted member wanted to recive a small package & disperse to a few to experienced members 
I could make time to make up a few sterile swabs.. I got a box of 2 packs around here somewhere lmao. I intend to further Isolate out the cultures I have at hand.
& to clarify the TP found me as a limited genetic culture from an old buddy. 118 & og were from spore. The 118 was pretty narrowed down via needle bioposy prior to spawn.. the og was T1 tiger dropped to LI so I basically ran the germ plate on that one in a hurry to do side by side comparisons.

Do you guys normally have the veils tear early on these. I have one sweater box pinning. 4 about ready to pin. And the pretzel container is pinning. The pins are getting tall but the veils have been gone since pinning started.
Normal or issues?

That’s interesting man yours seem to be inbetween the normal looking ones I had and the PE type.
My veils hung on all raggedy from the caps mostly but some stretched for a while.
You’ve got different caps for sure though.

Yeah I have 5 more 16qt boxes of this iso3 so we will see how the turn out too. Already look like these. 1 jiffy cased at 90% colonized. That pretzel container got jiffy at 95% colonization. 4 of them are psuedo cased at spawning. That's it. Trying to see if they do better or if it matters.

My melmac plates are so damn white. I am thinking they might be contaminated but I dunno.
I have some a2g jars on the go. Hoping I can get something to clone.
Has anybody followed up with the dude who sells those TP melmak swabs ? Any word from him? Could it have simply been some kind of a mix up or is it reverting genetics??

I totally forgot to hit him up.
My plates were pretty white too on some sections I grew out.
I’ve got two clones on grain but they’re sooooo slow.
It’s killing me.

Careful where you get your swabs for these. The only vendor I could find has taken my cash and gone completely silent. Phone line disconnected, won't respond to emails.
