Wbs question

I really hate to post this question but it’s driving me nuts...
This is one of my few attempts at wbs. The millet in this jar is taking forever to colonize. Has anyone else ever had this problem. The jar was inoculated on 4/21 via g2g from a rye berry jar (that colonized within a few days. I’m guessing I prep’d my grains incorrectly but could I still use the jar? Would I be better off just burying it and just use my other jars.?

For whatever reason they sure are avoiding those aren't they lol
You ask if you should use the jar. Yea why not it's probably just a little bacteria. I wouldn't use it for g2g but def spill it on some coir and let it grow some mushrooms.

i would shake it up and see if it bounces back... you should reach 100% colonization that way.

Maybe underhydrated? I've underhydrated some jars and they're slow as fuck.

lol ah yes.
Millet doesn’t really like to colonize.
Well it doesn’t like to look colonized I should say.
That jars done, that’s just how millet looks. This drove me nuts when I first started too but it’s common.
It might be from consolidating for a while but the myc looks a little funny. I’d for sure use it though maybe just in a shoebox if it looks different from the others.

I forgot to say I always shake at 30-40% and that’s the only time until spawn. But with this one I shook it at like 95% to see if that millet would colonize more.

That’s what I was thinking. I’m new to wbs. Rye is my fave I just had to wait longer to get it in the mail so I bought wbs at a local store.

Thank you. I have 9 wbs jars that all look like this
