Hey,
Im wondering if anyone has experience dealing with "bipolar" symptons after a mushroom trip. I took a very small dose 8 days ago, and this past week I have been cycling through high's and lows, all within the same day. And not just normal mood swings. Very noticeable. My lows are also accompanied by brain fog, anxiety, and memory loss. I don't have a history of bipolar, just depression. I'm obviously nervous that I brought this to the surface and it could be a long battle. Curious if anyone else had similar issues? Pretty defeated now and nervous. Thanks for any insight.

I have never experienced that.
I feel it would be hard to know what bipolar feels like never having had it.
Go on a nice run to get the juices flowing again.

I have some mental health issues that have the mania involved. After taking them(mush) I get a reset of emotions. They will be all over the place and very out of place but within a couple to few days it works out to a balance. Don't overthink it to much. If you don't want that feeling, you can get alot from smaller amounts and balance seems to come within hours depending on what you've eaten. Cheers

That is called mood or emotional lability, and is probably unrelated to bipolar.
It's a natural response to stress in humans, psychologically related to "splitting" which is finding it hard to see the world for the grey it is and instead splitting it into black and white, good and bad.
It's very natural that your trip perhaps brought to the surface some personal difficulties. When you face them you feel low, when you can surpress them you might feel "high".
With time, you will probably get back to your status quo, but you could work on trying to understand what part of the world or your life you are having trouble facing.
Of course, I'm not a therapist.... so take this with a pinch of salt. Just relaying some personal experience.

I appreciate it. I never have any "integrate - able" experiences. This feels purely chemical. I went to the ER today and tried to put a plan in place should this get worse. It has been 10 days. We will see. Pretty nervous and depressed to say the least.

Thanks. I was hoping this was the case, but it has gotten worse. It's now been 10 days and my anxiety, cycling of moods, memory decline, is all getting worse. I'm pretty distraught.

Im sorry to hear that. When I get like that I focus on negative only.. Do you exercise at all? I find when my mind is to caught up and my body is being strange, a little sweat, a dark hot shower and maybe a good nap with some food that makes you feel good inside, not junk food. Is all it takes for me sometimes. Best of luck with things.
