Could this be contaminated?

Hi there,
i recently started with a treasure coast grow kit and noticed a small green spot one day after i started the kit. I was about to discard it immediately but then decided to give it a try anyways. Now, a couple of days later is the green spot completely overgrown by a white padded substance. I reminds me of healthy mycelia but the way its growth seems a bit strange to me. Im not that experienced I would appreciate if one of the more experienced user could give me some clues if i should continue with this kit or throw it right away.
Thanks in advantage!

Dude wtf, so when I stare at your pink circle and then move my view to the rest of your image I see a green circle, asked my wife if it does it to her too and she said yeah.
Can everyone try this and see if they see the green circle too?
I have had myc that grows like that but it definitely looks unusual. If it is a mold it will reveal itself for sure soon.

Looks like trich, but i would wait for someone more experienced before tossing it. If its trich, than it will quickly turn green.
Yeah, I see the green circle. You can also get the same effect by staring into a lightbulb or something and then looking away. Its something about the "light sensor cells" in your eyes adjusting to give you more complete picture or something, and then it takes them a while to readjust back into normal mode.

That's most probably trich, but it definitely isn't anything good.

Trichoderma is a genus of fungi that you are not trying to cultivate, its a common contamination and is generally referred to as mold.

Trichoderma is used around here whenever a contamination presents itself as a “forest green mold” due to sporulation. Not always accurately diagnosed as Trich, but green molds are bad news and spreading spores once green. Keep it closed.

I try to avoid calling all greens trich, but this looks like real trich to me.

What is odd is it started green? but then now its white. That puzzles me. Normally goes the other way around.
It definitely looks suspect as hell. I just can't say for sure from the image. I have had myc that grew and looked like a contam before but it was just really really not rhizomorphic strain. At the time I was worried it was contaminated but spawned it anyway and it grew the same after spawn and smelt mushroomy and it fruited.
I never recommend anyone doing a smell test on anything possibly contaminated though, safety first.
Odds of this not being a contam are low.
Exactly how do you start the kit? How does this kit work?
Also, fuck kits.

I am aware, why would it spore and then turn white, that is they mystery.
I suppose it could be possible, that it had 2 contamination, and the other contamination ate the first one lol
