Put some spores from a trusted vendor on agar (red plate) and first transfers to yellow plate look like healthy myc but are all cracking the agar.
Quote:
Mycolorado said: Sorry, I mean mexicana and tamps crack the agar as in the pic I posted....if the agar in your plates was cracking from the mycelium it would support the idea that they were mexicana or tamp since the growth rings and color kinda point that way. Just spitballin...
Could the syringe be mislabeled, and really be a psil. Mexicana or tamp?? I have several ATL7 and Tamp plates currently working (the tamps are producing stones/fruits on the plates) but neither have cracked the agar. Anyone have experience with Bisporus??

Thanks man, looking kinda similar with that yellowish brownish tint to it. Ill prolly take that one plate and transfer a cpl segments of the wispy stuff. If it does the same thing ill just assume its the species

Looks fine to me. I just put some on agar and it has a similar color, consistency. Both oats and MEA agar. Just keep making transfers and it will get to whitening up and if it doesn't - it will on the substrate, or should. I usually see it extremely white and fluffy/tomentose.

mines white as hell its just the mea recipe thats giving it that color. then add in the fact that it has been just growing in the fridge since i made the transfer. so the growth is real light. but my mea plates always come out like that. my lmea plates are a lot more clear. i need to get sum more food tho coloring cuz i like the blue it makes the white really pop out good for me to see that thin wispy shit better on

ya bisp is def on my list and it was gnna be next thats why those plates were in my fridge right after making my 1st transfer. but i had been wanting asuras aussie badly and when i got a fresh print of it i put the bisp on the back burner. now im doing his bamas and some peace river. but after those are done il b giving the aussie another go cuz i ended up having bad genetics and had to go back to my germ plate. but right after that bisp it is for sure
