First ID request - Sth Australia
    #26662916 - 05/10/20 06:19 PM (3 years, 9 months ago)

Species # 1

Habitat: suburban back yard on lawn/grass

Gills: dark brown

Stem: very light grey/brown or even could be described as dirty white. 4-5cm stem length with little bright white area right at the base. 3-4mm in width. Seems fairly sturdy considering it’s small size.

Cap: medium - dark brown but lightened considerably when dried. Smallest 1cm diameter, largest no more than 3cm but was damaged so difficult to be precise.

Spore print: dark brown, almost black.

Bruising: not sure, didn’t really notice any colour changes.

General location: South Australia, Western Suburbs

**They are wet in the pictures.

I’m not expert that’s for sure but from what I can tell it doesn’t look anything like a Hypholoma or share the characteristics. What makes you suggest this?
I thought it looked a lot like a Haymaker mushroom - Panaeolus foenisecii.
