Mushroom ID please NW Victoria
    #26661489 - 05/10/20 02:32 AM (3 years, 8 months ago)

Hi guys,

I found these mushrooms in North West Victoria between the side of the road and an olive plantation that was lined with pines. No other trees within at least a 15 metre radius. Only pines. I believe I have two different species. They were found in the same location.
Here is the first - relatively slimy and reasonably slippery cap

Here is the second. What a haul!

Thanks guys, much appreciated.

The slimy buggers are Suillus granulatus i believe.

The orange ones are Lactarius deliciosus

Enjoy your meal!

Thanks mate. Would appreciate a couple of other members confirming. What are your thoughts on the discoloring of the gills? The greeny colour. At what point does that make the mushroom inedible? Because I have a few that are in decent condition but with quite a bit of the green in the gills. Thanks.

They do that when they get damaged and get old. Its fine. If a specimen seems to manky then you can discard it.
