Jacked the humidity up and turned the flush into 215 grams of fresh. Dried down to 28g. I cannot be more pleased at the moment.
Re-hydrated the slab and we are showing nice white myco growth showing through and one nice pin is showing. It has maybe been 4 days since the H2o was added and drained.

I know right? I’m invested here!
Seriously though I’m glad it worked out.
I’m real curious how you dried these and if they are definitely cracker dry. They say mushrooms, or cubes at least, are 90% aqua. So 215g should dry down to 21.5 in a perfect scenario. Normally though I’d expect more like 18g dry. It seems like most are only around 8% solid material.
28g would mean they were only like 87% water. So I’m wondering if maybe the roughed up sub put out some denser fruits or something. Or it’s just a good set of genes, or there is still a little water to be found. Definitely check em cuz you don’t want them getting soft in a couple days and you don’t notice and then they start losing potency.

Shit I’m stoked if it’s 90.
I usually assume 8% and if it’s better that’s just a bonus.
I’ve had some monsters lately that were 95% or more lately. I think cuz the heat. I just picked the fattest hollowest gt I’ve ever seen today.
22.7 wet I’m guessing 1.6 dry.

So, you are a little correct on my experience. I had left them out to air dry and hoped that would be some better "cure". It did not dry fast enough and seemed to start to re-hydrate from the air, trying to survive? So I through them in the oven @180 and had the door open and tried to dry them out that way and it seemed to work. When it was wet I ate .6 of a gram and I felt a little of the body and a little of the upper happiness spectrum with kinda "upper-like" energy. Today, 4 days later, I am going to eat 1.19 dry weight and see what happens.
Second flush is coming along and might be bigger than the last. You guys have these amazing full flush photos. I have not achieved this level of experience. Hopefully the next tub will. I think this one is fighting hard and strong genetics are keeping it in the game. Time will tell.
I really appreciate all the support. New photos will come as progress is made.

You should definitely get a dehydrator if you plan on growing more but a fan can work OK until then. Preferable with the mushrooms in a laundry bag or a bag made from screen material so they air can pass through.
The oven works as you found out but can be tricky. Since yours were already somewhat dried it seems like before they went in you got away with oven and no fan. The first time I tried the oven they turned all black and gooey cuz I didn’t have enough air blowing into the oven and the heat was pulling moisture out of the mushrooms faster than it could evaporate. So if you do go the oven method again and you’re using fresh mush I’d definitely have a fan going on them.
Once they’re dry you want to store them in an airtight container with some kind of desiccant, if you just have them in a bag or something they will slowly absorb moisture from the air

So, ordering a dehydrator today. I am sure there is a deal on them somewhere in the world.
Today's morning checkup on them seems to continue what I had going on...some big ones coming up and not fully covered like you guys have in your photos. Here are the photos from today. Again, thanks for all the assistance here.
