so i had no extra plate left and all my current ones were bacterial and i decided to transfer it to an agar with just a pinch of tetracycline when it was not that hot but not gel either and i stirred it with a metal thingy (flame sterilize before) anyway this is the result , i think its been cleaned , what is your thoughts?
bacterial culture used for transfer :
agar + tetracycline plate after transfer =

btw i noticed its been slower than usual like by a day - is it because it has antibiotics in it? if i do transfers from this plate would it lose its strength or something?

maybe the picture makes it bigger but i don't think they're that deep , it's 310 ml pp5 containers - i actually do have a batch of unopened petri dishes but honestly this is so much easier (no pour) , since i'm just a beginner i think this works out well for me + the lids are pretty tight too

Hard to tell with the pics, but looks clean. Once you transfer back to a standard agar recipe, normal growth speed should resume. You can use glass petris for no-pour, better visibility. Also, black tea agar works well for getting away from bacteria, but also puts the myc in slow motion.

problem was until now bacteria was my nemesis because i didn't own a good pressure cooker , but i bought one and it arrived just today so i'm all set for the future for the MEA recipe edit : btw thanks for the black tea agar tek , never heard of it before seems interesting and yeah about the picture , one way for me to look for contam is put flashlight on top and bottom and look for anything extra in the plate , usually works
