I see this thread is already being flooded with ID request and terrible information that could get someone arrested with the quickness. Please be cautious with any information presented on a message forum and take others advise at your own risk. Illegal is illegal and just because someone thinks they have the knowledge and gift of gab like Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark doesn't mean you will be given the security clearance of Iron Man. I admire the confidence but i'd still move with caution people.
That being said. The diverse range of pop ups that I have noticed in the different areas this season have me excited and eager for the coming flushes. I have had some pretty decent hauls given the slow start to the season. I cannot wait for the massive bountiful flushes coming soon to an area near you.

Stumbled across a couple of almost patches on Monday here in the South East, pulled a dozen or so decent subs which went very blue on the bruising. I hadn't hunted for 20 years and now I'm permanently on the lookout! Found some more locally on Tuesday but went to a few old spots on the Peninsula yesterday and found zip. Dunno if it's the few days of warmth or a slower start to the season, perhaps it's just me not being as effective at hunting anymore.

Stumbled on some fellow pickers yesterday while out for a hunt in the SW, hope you guys did well!
I’m wondering if anybody has links on how to better understand dew points and how they relate to the growth of Subs.

There's a science to it I'm sure, but my old-dchool rule of thumb is if it's cold and foggy, it's wet enough. If it rains, even better.
I found a healthy, fresh patch yesterday and we haven't had rain since last Sunday. This patch had older, drier shrooms, healthy mature ones and a heap of new pins. All I can attribute the fresh subs existence to is the fog that pools in that spot on a cold morning.

Lately I've been hunting everywhere I go... I think now's the time when it's worth doing that... I found a new patch just before walking down a quiet street...

I'll be hunting in relatively new areas today. I expect to do well. I'll post my finds

Good eye painkiller!
Awesome looking subs Bibuba.
Yesterday a friend found several of these giants clustered together in the inner south east. This is the largest cap that was about 8cm across.
Keep those in situ photos coming if you can peeps. all my nearby spots are way to public and the ones that aren’t require a longer than necessary commute.

Thanks for sharing the guide Painkiller, I'll be sure to head back out on the 8th of June!
I have only started searching for the first time this year and when on my way back to my car this little guy was staring up at me!!

Thanks
I didn't find many mushrooms of any description at the area I'm relatively new to hunting in so I went to a really good area of mine and a new area close to it. I found that many subs... The subs seem to me like they're the most potent I've found this season...

The next photos are from a new patch....

If you haven't been out hunting yet, I'd go now. It's incredibly good......

That's kay
Sice anything can happen between now an the 8th June, I'd advise people to go out hunting now because subs are extremely prevalent now and are sooo easy to find... Should have no trouble whatsoever...

Found another small fortune today, no photos as it was getting dark unfortunately.
How many subs do you guys pick per year? I’ve been lucky to find between 50-150 subs each time Ive gone picking so far

thought this lil guy we found on todays outing was pretty funky;

Anybody know what's going on here? is this genetic, or environmental influence?

Hey im a newby, and i was wondering if St Kilda/Elsternwick is too rural.
This is my first season and i was wondering if i should try more outer suburbs. The parks that i explore have tree bark but i feel like its always just patches of bark so there is no space for them to grow. i found what i think is a small amount of Panaeolus cinctulus and i am iding them now.
