Monotub - how to correct side pinning

I messed up and didn't use a liner. Apparently it's important, even though I didn't hear about this before...
Now my pins only start to grow below/on the side. How can I correct this?

You need to provide better surface conditions. Right now they are pinning on the side where they like it better in the microclimate between the sub and the walls. Liners will help stop side pins but if you learn to provide proper surface conditions you won't need them.
Not much you can do for this flush - nothing wrong with them though they will grow just fine and often you can get a good flush.
All that said liners do help prevent side pinning. If you gotta use one, use thick 3ml clear plastic dropcloth you find in the paint section at a hardware store- rolls are cheap and will line many tubs. I switched to unmodified tubs but at my old house I still had a ton of tubs with holes so I still used liners so I could lift my substrate out to harvest.
I say ditch the liners!

Thanks, but I only have a bunch of small pins, all on the side. However, there's 0 pin on the top.
So I don't know what to do right now, there's not flush except for a dozen of pins that just started to grow. SO should I do nothing?
Another question for you: you'nre not a fan of liner. I don't have opinion but I live remotely and don't have store nearby. What should I do to prevent side pinning next time?
Thanks for your time, I'm a bit tired it's almost 3am haha

It's quarter to 6 AM here haha, I haven't been to bed yet.
Tell me about your tub, is it the traditional 4 bottom holes + 2 top holes with polyfill? Or unmodified?

It's an unmodified tub. I poured the coir/verm/grains 2 weeks ago.
I have put too much substrate in the tub, it's 6 inches thick in a 50 qt tub. Should have separated in 2 tubs, but I got only 1 available and substrate was already done.

You can use a garbage bag I have in the past, but now I just say let it pin on the side they are still fine.

That is pretty thick! Well make sure you keep your tub dialed in so you have good surface conditions. You haven't even had your full pinset yet, you might get a great pinset on top still despite a few stragglers
