Here's the first fruits from my melmac clone. These fruited outdoors because mold showed up.

Second flush came in looking more like a normal cube. Only this and three giant thumb sized pins that aborted.

I clean after I dry sometimes. Plus I was kinda rushed, due to holiday plans. I didn't even clean out the dried shrooms from the last run, just put the fresh ones on top

If y'all stabilize it and/or could point me in the direction of a decent culture I'd be insanely grateful. All the Melmac I tried to grow from swabs I've received in the past have fruited like regular cubensis and lacked any PE traits
Awesome fuckin grows everyone

This tub had the tiniest spot of green that wasn't growing over the last week. But now the green is coming back, just as the prophecies have foretold. I think I'll take this outside to finish up. I just hope I can at least get one of these shoeboxes to flush without green showing up. I have ten of them but, half have already had green show.

That sucks man looks like a nice pin set.
Sounds like it was probably in your plate culture. I just experienced that for the first time, perfect looking plate and every jar it went in grew green within days.

So it's a month exactly since I spawned 3 bags of melmak iso3. It has knotted , I opened the tops and folded it down very loosely. Still nothing. Should I just open them up all they way for few hours to induce pinning?

Hopefully one turns out good. I have ten shoeboxes that I inoculated with two plates. But I use 2 sectioned plates so the wedges came from 4 individual cultures (but all from the same clone). The clone definitly looks like a keeper though, if I can ever get it clean. It will be the first one I'll put on a slant. I just need a good clone (clone of a clone) candidate because I lost the culture I had going.
To Hobbit, I think It should pin any day now, but I would give your idea a try. I have no real experience growing in bags tho.

I cased them all with jiffy/verm mix. I cased my PE and all my melmac bags and tubs. Seemed like they stalled so I hope this helps. Seen 3 fucking gnats on the surface. I killed them. Sux hopefully they dont stay around. I have yellow sticky cards for the gnats around from my canna grow. Them things suck. I had them beat last time.

Give em a breath of fresh air if ya wish Hobbit just dont let the surface dry out. If they are knotting they will be soon
I personally choose not to case my mak as in "my" enviorment & genetics it dosen't increase my yeild & only adds to my wait.. My other PE is a different story but I am running a few clones uncased hopefull to find a gem or 2...

God damn this shit is slow AF. Jars are not even 100% and Im going to G2G them to boot. Probably at least 10-12 days before even spawn action will happen. Hope its worth it.

I’m glad it’s not just me. I was convinced I had prepped my grain way too dry or something. These last clones I ran were brutal. Like a month to finish the jar and then another three weeks to pin.

Mine are the same as any cube on grain. Obviously slower once on bulk sub, but that's to be expected.

Looking forward to trying to grow out some melmak! Just got in my spore swab, poured some plates a few nights ago and let them sit to reduces condensation. Going to put spores to agar tonight!

That looks good. Didnt plan on using verm but I may now.
My jars are the slowest ever. I have quarter size mycelium and its been over 2 weeks. PE jars started the same day and they already have been shaken and will be spawning within the next 2-3 days.

Thanks man. That sounds really slow. Maybe just the culture? This was a clone. Super fast on grain and spawn run... ✌🏻
