I usually go for 24 @160 bag em and check in a couple days, slam the dryer full on one rack if they need a touch up

I split mine in 3 by tearing from the bottom of the stem to the cap and dehydrate for 24hr @ 160f. I'm not sure if that degrades the potency by splitting them but my maks are the strongest I've had so I don't care. Plus they produce so well it doesn't matter if I need to eat a bit more to get where I want to be. Also, I know mine are 93% water so if the weight after dehydrating is 7% of wet weight they should be good. I usually do the crush test to see if they turn to powder or not.

I've been doing 48hrs. I don't split mine in half because I want good bag appeal. My Presto dehydrator is just plug and play. No buttons, no changing the temp, it's all preset. Plug it in to turn it on, unplug for off. 24hrs isn't working for me. I did 48 and weigh a few, write it down and check I'm an hour or 2 to see if they lost weight. If not I bag them up.

Hobbit & Faht throwing down some sexy beast. Almost all my ms runs were slow & did not tip the scale. Cloning & Isolation got me quick buldging bags. Also too high of a spawn ratio seemed to slow er down. In my attempts at running everything from cased grain - 1 to 12 I found 1 to 3-4 to be my sweet spot with my genetics in my environment. Too much nutrition & she just is content to sit their & consolidate. Temp was also a huge factor as my same TP Iso would fruit in 21-22 days in the heat then run 35 + in the cold.

Solid gold info.
I do the same 1: 3: 1 also noticed huge speed increase above 72f, clean spawn above 75 and they go almost as fast as normal cubes.. My 118 culture usually takes 21 to pin at 70f the warmth cuts 5-6 days for sure

Hey, experienced Melmak growers.
My first grows (spores were labeled thrasher) are happy. But which among these fruits would you consider worthy of cloning? Assuming the gnarly ice cream cone type is closer to the Melmak ideal than the cube type but this variety is new to me.
Shoebox of big cube-like fruits including a few massive side pins & bottom pins

Mono produced lots of blobs and these gnarly ice cream cones

I have this melmac in a pasty style monotub with quarter inch holes, spawned on 4/8(19 days ago), pseudo cased at spawn with coir, no signs of pins, there is a bit of knotting but not much, also lots of moisture on substrate surface. Am I on track or is this slow? I fanned it today to try and evaporate some of the substrate moisture. Anything else I should do?

That looks pretty to me. You just have to wait. Once you run clones it could be faster. Your surface moisture looks great to me.

I had gotten some dry grains of this from a friendly member here but have since lost it. month+seems really long, this is a clone from basidium eq.
I was also doing some research, I had found a PE that went from spawn to harvest in 19-21 days as well, is it really just genetics or do conditions play a big part.
Also, I haven't had to mist that tub at all, it just stays beaded like that, is evaporation occurring or is that not a good sign?
