Awesome accidental grow. I’ve been trying to grow metal using spawn from a grow kit in a fresh bag of substrate and it’s so slow. Maybe I should try it your way.

A prime example of why I deconstruct my fruits before dehydration. Saves hours, dries more thoroughly, takes up less space. Someone's gotta break it, might as well DIY.

Some AMAK finally pinning. Started getting blobs after the top layer was colonized so decided to late case with jiffy, seems to have worked.

This HAS to be one of my favorite threads. I'm leaning towards just concentrating on PE crosses and anything very unique. If I'm allowed to ask, which vendors are you guys using? I've been trying to find OG Melmak or any Melmak for that matter for several months. But seems like EVERY vendor that has it is continually "out of stock" 😒

Stick around a bit longer and you can grab some in a giveaway/trade in the marketplace.
I don't have any swabs at the moment or I'd send you some now. If you want some AMAK I'll hook you up in a week when the tub is done

Speaking of the Marketplace, I think I'll have access in like 3ish days. How do I navigate to it once it opens up to me? Is it in the Mushrooms general area or community?
Edit : Thanks, E_Dubbya.

large fruits are bragging rights and cool to look at, but they are hard to dry, and taste like shit compare to smaller fruit, so I prefers fruits in the 20g to 40g wet weight range.

Right on. I didn't even know there was a market place. Ugh. Feeling real new 😂 I sure appreciate the heads up.

I prefer large, it just ends in the grinder anyway and I have less substrate on their feet to clean up. Just rip out, remove coir/grains with a scalpel (do that with hundreds/thousands 30-50mm tall fruits like in my first grows?! What a PITA). I've put that 400+ gram thing into the dehydrator, whole of course , I'm going to check it's weight after 24h, should end up around 36-38g dry, if not give it another 12h. Most fruits lately were around 92% water content.

Big mush cuts down easiest, but a nice canopy culture can be nice with the e-knife. Potency is most important tho.

Cutting in my environment just ends up with green stumps in about 1/4 to 1/2 cases before flush two (bottles) since I've moved (probably high trich load). I think a balance between potency, speed, yield and time to process is key. I have multiple hobbies/occupations that warrant attention, not only active fungi. Too potent also might just freak out people accidentally, hurts them mentally and draws again bad attention to the psychedelic scene.
