IIRC, isn't the advice on Melmak to keep letting it grow way past the veil opening until the stripe starts getting soft? Just doing a tek check.

Mini-mono grown from 2-quarts. Was sold as Melmac Homestead and described the whole story about the book company. This run looks different than the small novelty test grow I did. Was slow to fruit like PE, but didn’t blue much at all during harvest.

That seems to be a common thing.
I also got fruits a lot like those with the pointy caps, then took a different section from the same plate and got the big gnarly PE ones.

MS - uncased. Just an extra thick layer of coir / verm. Sometimes you just get lucky.

Those of you who are growing in bags, how many flushes do you harvest before throwing it out?

Sometimes two flushes, but often just one and done. I don't rehydrate my subs or anything. They might still have some life left, but usually not worth the space they take up imo. Second flush usually comes up twiggy and sparse.

just 1, second flush is meager. At least my TP variety did. Gives it all up on the first date.

I'm eager to see the results of my next few waves. Bout 15 bags of M7 and equally as much M2C and some M5X as well. Plates are sexy and STB, straight to bag, is killin it for me right meow.

Just got my Melmak OG, AMVP and Gandalf swabs. I've got a few things on grain right now but I hope to put atleast the OG to agar soon. Eventually I plan on running AMVP and Gandalf concurrently since they're both of the TAM lineage, a showdown if you will. Tempted to put them all in bags, but unsure if Maks brethren like the bag life as it seems to.
