9 days after pin and the veil looked like it was starting to tear. I swabbed but I honestly have no clue how mature this is. Dense but still hollow stipe.

I cannot find these genetics anywhere and it is killing me. Off-site nobody I know in the usual circles has prints/swab/syringe/LC and I am pulling my hair out.

Hell yeah! Hope yours is a little quicker than mine. The wait has been worth it. I’ve been trying to keep a journal on this but cult life is hard when you have a 4yr old a 6month old.

Spores are out there, just pm somebody that seems cool when you see them posting a variety you like.
Or I got my first Melmak from a guy on Facebook that people here had vouched for. That was almost a year ago Melmak is waaaay more common now.
I’ve also got the two sub lineages called 118 and TP that I haven’t grown out yet but they’re supposed to massive 100+g fruits. I’ll definitely take a ton of swabs when I get around to those since these are getting super popular.

MTP rocks once you've narrowed down via clone. My average wet is well over 100/fruit with the occasional beast breaking 200 (have seen pics >300). TBH, had the same results with Mak OG but I let the culture fade away and don't want to go back to spore.

Just received some Melmak swabs from a member of this community and I'm wondering how to get the most out of them and ensure success. Could I take sterile tweezers and rip cotton off the swab in small pieces to add to plates and take a shotgun approach by doing multiple plates like such?
My goal will be to fruit as much genetic variety as possible for a clone hunt.

In my work with swabs, the only plate ever guaranteed to germ is the one where I stab the god damn tip into agar and cut it off in there. YMMV

On plates a streak with swabs I probably get like 25% germ rate.
