Need some advice with this oven-tek

My turtle is going to be pasteurizing some straw and poo tomorow using the oven tek. Do you guys recommend that he dunk the straw/poo mixture over night, then strain before stuffing it into the autoclavable bag?....Or should he just put it in the bag, then add water to it? Thanks!
Oh I forgot to ask if it is wise to dunk the colonized jars before using them for this straw/poo bulk grow?

uhhh... i would think you would need to dunk first then strain and put it in the bag... putting it in and adding water sounds like a horrible idea... and ive never used straw and poo for a grow so i cant answer you on the dunk, although i wouldnt think u would need to.

Ok fine, My *friend* still needs advice on this though. So does anyone out there, who has had experience with this, recommend my *friend* either
A) Dunk the straw/poo mixture overnight, strain, put in the autoclavable bag, then use the oven-tek to pasteurize
Or
B) Put the dry straw/poo mixture in the bag first, then add water till the water content fells right, then throw in the oven?
Help from people who are experienced with this is really appreciated, and I, and my *friend* , say thank you!

Thanks. Ive been leaning towards doing A, but why would you recommend B instead? I just want to see the good/bad of each.

well my my 2 cents (althought i am no expert by any standard) would be to soak overnight and drain but not drain fully leave it just alittle wetter then you want it (but not much) substrate drying out seems to be the main problem with the over tek.
peace good luck (perhaps try a smaller test batch and check afterward to monitor the moisture levels)

Or, you could dunk over night, put in autoclavable bag and put in the oven with something an oven pan of water. Maybe, but i am not of any expertise on this either!
