HOLY f***

I want to thank a bunch of you guys on here.....without the constant advice and guidance my motivation would surely have been lacking.

Went out today expecting another fruitless journey, but on my way back spotted a couple shrooms....at first because of the lack of bluing I thought nothing of it, but I smelled the mushroom and the scent was identical to that of Cubensis.

I then realized there was no bluing because the ones I first found were very young.....I took a look around the area and to my surprise I found a giant patch with shrooms everywhere.....with bluing and the identical ovoid look.

I'm elated to say the least after spending so much time in the woods and especially being in NY where they aren't very common.

>
For some reason I can't upload pics from My Pics.....I've done this at least 50 times on other posts but it's not showing the pictures when I press continue to view the post......any help on this would be appreciated so I can edit and then upload the pics correctly

Whelp, nm then, they just aren't in my local vicinity, or I'm just bad at looking, lol.

Still, going out to a "proper" river couldn't hurt.

After spending hours and hours in the woods I think for begginers, it's much easier and more efficient to search garden mulch and woodchips.
At least that's what my experience has proven....

Found some in a drainage “creek” today, and there were ZERO boxelders around. I think one of my early mistakes was checking larger pieces of wood, like logs, when they seem to prefer smaller sticks and branches.

I’m not sure what you did there, but your code was all messed up. The easiest way to do it is to click the picture button (third from the right) & paste the url.

Persistence does indeed pay off. Got my first of the season today as well! They were very dry and crispy, but I will return after the next rain

I'd certainly say so! There were so many tiny black pins that didn't make it through the few days of dry weather

Has anyone else heard of the supposed polar vortex returning this weekend, apparently bringing temperatures pretty low? How do we think that'll affect the season?

@allium growing woodlovers indoors is probably the worst possiblr way you could obtain psilocybin mushrooms. Its compareable to growing corn in a pot in your house vs having acers of it.

Also that write up is making something simple way to complex.

3 step void tek

1.get myc
2.put myc in mulch
3.harvest mushrooms

I'm just happy to finally find some. They don't look as bad in person. And since they're my first-ever I have to eat them lol.
