What is name of this tool

I've seen it used in videos. It's a torch that sits on desk and sterilzes needles and tools quickly

Depends, I use a culinary torch. Others use different torches.

Not a lamp. It might be a torch of some kind.
I've found using an oil lamp in front of. A flow hood doesn't go to well.

https://fungi.com/products/electric-transfer-tool-sterilizer

I thought you were thinking electric tool sterilizer. These things look sweet, too $ though.

I use a propane torch - I get the short + fat propane bottles , like the Coleman camping propane, because they don't tip like the tall blue cans.

Can I see a photo of it? I think I have an idea what you are using. It's pretty similar to what I use I think.

I bought a Bunsen burner years ago- the burner + rubber hose for a few bucks. I rigged it up to a propane tank but it didn't give a jet flame, it looked like a really tall candle flame. I think the one I have is either meant for a low pressure flame.

C10 has one of those bad ass tool sterilizers I can't remember the name. Used in lab work all the time.

Even a Alcohol Lamp works, just takes longer to sterilize.

This topic reminds me of Biology and Chemistry Lab in High School and College. They had built-in piping so u could hook up a Bunsen Burner right to one of those outlets on the black countertops.

Ahhhhh, good times.

Those manual torches are a bitch to light with gloves on plus it's a waste of gas to  just keep them lit the entire time. I use this exact torch, it lights easily with one hand and flame scalpels quickly.

Are you using a lighter? I have one of those things you squeeze and a flint Sparks.
I just turn the flame down to where it's barely burning + turn it up when needed.  Honestly I've only gone thru a few bottles in all the cultivating I've done

That tool is nice too though, I have one

I just find it to be less enjoyable to use in every way by comparison.  It definitely works but I wouldn't go back after trying both kinds, I like the trigger mechanism.

alot of those torches have a built I'm ignitor I just happened to link one with out. I have 4 of them 3 have triggers and 1 doesn't. I usually just shut mine off between uses it's super easy to reignite. I love my torch. Pretty much any torch will work but I hate refillable butane ones even the good quality ones eventually start leaking butane and then you have to fill them up more often and I've had some that eventually fail to hold fuel for any significant amount of time. I prefer anything single use propane tanks for this reason I've just had bad experiences with refillable butane.

I also use my torch for plumbing, dabbing, Workin on cars/stuck bolts, starting fires and BBQs as well as whatever the hell else requires heat or flame. It's a very universal tool. I've seen people use them to make glazed hams before too lmao.
