Unless you expected something to be much worse, and was happy that it wasn't

I recommend to you Frankl's book 'The Will to Meaning,' wherein he ingeniously describes human transcendence without referring to GOD at all. He developed something called "Dimensional Ontology," which aptly describes transcendence in terms of more inclusive and comprehensive human dimensions than any reductionistic notion can supply. Without lots of detail, he states 2 'laws' : #1 "One and the same phenomenon projected out of its own dimension into different dimensions lower than its own is depicted in such a way that the individual pictures contradict one another." He illustrates a cylindrical solid suspended above a floor, next to a wall. The shadow projected on the floor is a circle. The shadow projected on the wall is a rectangle.

Next, #2: "Different phenomena projected out of their own dimension into one dimension lower than their own are depicted in such a manner that the pictures are ambiguous." To this 'law' he illustrates a cylinder, a cone and a sphere suspended above a floor, all casting a circular shadow.

Frankl uses the word "noological" rather than spiritual; emphasizes that humor and courage characterize a detachment which characterizes transcendence. He says: "What is dangerous is the attempt of a man who is an expert, say, in the field of biology, to understand and explain human beings exclusively in terms of biology. The same is true of psychology and sociology as well. At the moment at which totality is claimed, biology becomes biologism, psychology becomes psychologism, and sociology becomes sociologism. In other words, at that moment science is turned into ideology. What we have to deplore, I would say, is not that the scientists are specializing but that the specialists are generalizing...
Today nihilism is masked by speaking of the 'nothing-but-ness' of man. Reductionism has become the mask of nihilism."

am i happy? happiness is a mediocre sin set for
a middle-class existence, i see through smiles and smell truth in the
distance, beyond one dimensional smiles and laughter, lies are hereafter,
where tears echo laughter, youd have to do math to divide a smile by a
tear times fear equals mere truth.
