Is ammo for the nagant cheap? I was going to get one awhile ago because they’re cool, a part of history and use to be way cheap. For all intensive purposes I would now just settle for a shotgun, 12 gauge. The mini thunder stick shotguns would be a good trail gun which I also have an interest in obtaining but would probably just get something like an 870
For ccw I ve been thinking the sig p365

The p365 is pretty sweet, that would be a great choice. The online gun goat has a good vid on that one:
No point arguing with the ass who decided to pop into the thread with the typical anti-gun idiocies, just as expected.

I like that guy. I’d never heard of him before you posted one of his vids.
He’s not a complete douche like most YouTube gun guys.

Viraldomes points are valid thou. America isnt the only country with guns, countries with stricter gun laws have less deaths from guns, and at home gun accidents do happen in families.
I feel like guns in general are more of a privilage than anything. In the Wild West, sure guns were meant to protect folk, but in the modern day, they used for hunting, recreation and for collecting. Thats about it.

Can be dirt cheap. My local gun shop usually has "spam cans" of old ammo for sale. Can be easily found at trades shows too. They do have an amazing history. Like the official rifle of all revolutionary fighters. Good and bad.

I've read alot of stories of people who shot intruders and it fucks them up.
Often times you could argue whether it was necessary or not and often it's a kid (14 or so) who does it. I wouldn't want to be that well intentioned parent that teaches their kid how to use a firearm and where it is only for them to shoot someone in a frightening situation and have it screw them up.
But of course there are terrible people in the world and I would want them to be able to protect themselves. There's just as many stories of people killing an intruder with a knife or bat. But I would never want that firearm to be the difference between getting out of a situation and killing someone.

You're beyond ignorant and seriously don't know what you're talking about! I couldn't even get through half your post because it's beyond ridiculous. Comparing the United states to Canada is the most idiotic retarded thing anyone can ever do. Canada has the population of California!!! It's barely even a country!! The United states is a vast empire and its basically the modern day Rome. All of it's states have different people with different cultures!! It blows my mind that you would even compare it to a country like that. It's so fucking stupid .. comparing the United states to Canada is like comparing a tiny cow town to new York city. It's so fucking ridiculous ...
Gun control actually doesn't work by the way. I encourage anyone reading this to do their own research. A lot of people post false information on the internet. It's important that you do your own research before you decide to be against something. Guns don't kill people, people kill people.

I started watching a show about British folks vying for a chance to own the pre-made homestead of an elderly couple who built it, over many years, in remote Alaska. One guy had a single experience with a firearm and one lady had used an air rifle in the the pentathlon. It’s quite ridiculous and irresponsible of the show’s producers if they leave any of these people out there alone.

A majority of those deaths are from suicide. If some idiot doesn't keep a gun locked up and their kid finds it should that prevent me from owning a gun? That's fucking bullshit!!. Fuck those people! If they're that stupid let Darwin take them out . We don't need those people on the planet trust me..
I know that makes me sound evil but fuck it. Those people are fucking idiots. You can use that same exact logic with the drug war!!! Should lsd be illegal because it causes some people to jump off of a building? Fuck no it shouldn't be illegal!!

Tbh most countries are the size of California. It's hard to wrap your head around just how big the US is. It's why we consider many things on state and region level and not national level.
But California has a 4.4 homicide rate compared to Canada's 1.4.
It's not just population. It's population density. And alot of other things like culture. And of course firearm accessibility. But California has fairly strict firearm restrictions compared to other US states so those other factors are important considerations.

Density seems to be exactly the point. Look at Texas and Alaska. Bigger than most countries and basically everyone is armed but very little violence. People don't seem like swarming creatures by nature and when we put ourself in swarms we lose our minds. I guess you look at a firearm different when it's on your hip because your worried about cougars and bears more than psycho people.

People that think like you guy's are the reason there's a drug war. The war on drugs doesn't prevent addiction and the war on guns doesn't prevent murder. You can't control people like that!! It doesn't work and it'll never work!! There's more guns than people in the United states!! It's IMPOSSIBLE to ban guns in the United states!! IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!!!! Do you even understand how easy it is to build a gun??? I've built 3 of them myself!! Guns are here to stay people so get over it.... FUCK you just don't get it!!
