Habitat: Found a few of these sneaky guys amongst many subs within a woodchip planter box, partially shaded by small shrubs
Gills: Caramel,unattached
Stem: Significantly thinner stems than the surrounding subs, slightly golden with blueish? staining.
Cap: 2cm, mildly convex, golden
Spore print color: awaiting
Bruising: Arguable blue bruising around rim of cap and stem
Other information: Just interested to know what these are in case i got some mixed up with my subs

Kinda looks like a Galerina to me. Interesting specimen either way.

Yeah. After looking again, I’m pretty certain they are Galerina. Sorry, OP. The gills look greasy and rusty and the stem is blackening.

I'm Not So Sure, Most Galerina Sp Have Adnate To Adnexed Attached Gills. This Mushroom Has Free Gills (Not Attached).

There’s a lot of variation in the genus as far as gill attachment goes, there’s a lot of variation even within species. I certainly don’t think it’s G. marginata though.
Just going by characteristics in the monograph, it closely fits many different descriptions, but what is completely lacking in the monograph is observations anywhere near that region. I’m sure there are many species of Galerina in Australia, we just don’t have much data on that.
Better to err on the side of caution. I picked probably a hundred or so cyans one time, was fairly confident, started running them through the dehydrator and realized there was a rusty smudge on the paper bag I was staging them on, I spent like 6 hours going through all of them again and tossed anything/everything questionable. It’s interesting how shaken I felt but it served a purpose and I now check everything more closely.
