Hi
Could someone pls id this for me?
Found growing in outer suburbs of melbourne, in a wet paddock, in a 'fairy ring'
Smell fairly typical 'mushroom' smell

Cheers

I'm Not Sure Which Sp They Are. Could Be Stropharia Rugosoannulata Which Are Edible. Wait For A TI To Chime In.

Though I've Never Heard Of Wine Caps Growing In Fairy Rings, I Suppose It's Possible.

Pretty certain that's an Agaricus sp, not Stropharia

pink, free gills point toward Agaricus, while Stropharia gills are attached and dark colored at maturity

Cut the base off. If it goes deep yellow, don't eat it. What does it smell like?

Whoa, no one said they were edible - I would assume poisonous until proven otherwise, like 99% sure. Take a spore print, might help with ID? Not trying to be a party pooper! Death by mushroom is not nice.

These are not deadly. Worst case scenario you'd want to stay close to a toilet for the evening. It's an agaricus, no deadly species. Unless you have a microscope, no spore print is needed. But smell it and check for bruising by cutting off the base.

Yeah, I Thought Agaricus But I Thought It Was Too Tall To Be Agaricus, Also The Stem Looked Thinner Than Most Agaricus Stems, But Yeah Agaricus Sp, My Bad.
