If you don't like the passport I am sure we can put the vaccine refusers on some sort of leper island too.

If you are vaccinated, how is the unvaccinated person a threat to you?

they are a threat to people who will be carrying a passport that says "cannot be vacccinated due to preexisting medical conditions"

they become infected, they die they are beyond the position of being a silent carrier
you get 30 of them in a restaurant the door person is going to let in people who are of the same status, and those that are safe to be around them and the restaurant will reserve the right to refuse service to people who cannot vouch for their safety

yeah, but I got my immunization records in a passport book in my backpack, why the fuck do they have to use facial recognition, this is crazy scary from a privacy standpoint, Im willing to get the vaccine, im not really into being tracked by cameras like this

This thing mutates a lot and people can get reinfected. There's nothing to suggest an immunity passport would make any difference at all except to make the situation more authoritarian. If they could easily make vaccines to cover viral families then they would. Flu would not be a thing. Just as well, the anti-vax movement didn't start because of hippies it started because of legitimate greivances with vaccines. Disability and death. I think with all that in mind the idea of punishing someone for refusing said imaginary vaccine would be selfish. This is one time it's worth comparing to the flu.

When reading the proposition for Canada a few weeks back, do not recall facial recognition being part of it but "facial recognition" is the standard practice for vision checking of ID at the liquor mart and stuff as it is
UK is big on having cameras everywhere tho; so would not be the least bit surprised if they had actual plans to follow the movements of individuals whose faces show up as being not in their system

This virus doesn’t mutate much and there is no indication the mutations that have occurred are causing any drift from immunity

It's mutated on average at least once or twice a week since this started. The flu doesn't do that and they've been unsuccessfully trying to develop a vaccine that covers all flu strains for decades.

If you are vaccinated, how is the unvaccinated person a threat to you?
Because they can still spread the virus! Just because some one is vaccinated doesn't mean they are 100% immune to whatever they got vaccinated for. The whole point of vaccinations is to improve one's odds of fighting off a particular virus/bacteria. If a vaccinated person gets the virus and they are unable to fight it off quickly then they probably also can then spread the virus.
If there are a bunch of unvaccinated people running around the city spreading their virus because they are too stupid to get vaccinated then odds are that they will even eventually spread it to even vaccinated people.
Vaccination science is super basic. The more people who get vaccinated then the better chance of everyone staying healthy.

This virus doesn’t mutate anywhere near the rate of the flu

You people realize that vaccines take years to develop, but they claim that there will be a vaccine for Covid 19 next year. I will rather get infected with the Chinese virus than be a guinea pig for the big pharma.

Where'd you hear that?
https://www.livescience.com/coronavirus-mutation-rate.html
Quote:
Based on current data, it seems as though SARS-CoV-2 mutates much more slowly than the seasonal flu. Specifically, SARS-CoV-2 seems to have a mutation rate of less than 25 mutations per year, whereas the seasonal flu has a mutation rate of almost 50 mutations per year.
Given that the SARS-CoV-2 genome is almost twice as large as the seasonal flu genome, it seems as though the seasonal flu mutates roughly four times as fast as SARS-CoV-2. The fact that the seasonal flu mutates so quickly is precisely why it is able to evade our vaccines, so the significantly slower mutation rate of SARS-CoV-2 gives us hope for the potential development of effective long-lasting vaccines against the virus.

It doesn't matter where it came from braniac. It's royally fucking humans, regardless of what nationality the proclaim to be.
I suppose we should rename the Spanish Flu the Yankee Flu since it seems to have started here?

I don't care what you want to call it. You're literally going off topic because you're offended. Read my post again and maybe you'll realize that I was talking about vaccines not where this virus is coming from.

I don't like to see racism mate. That's my point.
Please do not refer to it that way again.
