That's the thing with the technical setups is getting all the adjustments and variables correct. That's why I like the unmodified or just taped holes setup. Those two that are almost colonized and white look good. The others I'm not sure about. Sometimes the over complicating things can do more harm then good.

I decided to pull the second bin before it gave the others trouble. The last two suffered from some matting before dialing in the hygrometer and mist output, but I bumped the temp back up a little and reduced the FAE (80F and 98%RH) and it looks like its coming back now. I think I moved to fruiting too soon, hopefully they'll finish colonizing a bit more first now. The vapor output is now more like a slow trickle of fog and only kicks on in an emergency which is rare, and I starting spraying higher with finest mist from bottle and letting fall just where sub is dried out. Any suggestions?
I also started new grain spawn from the one nice plate posted previous and I'm going to do a transfer from its sister plate. Based on the regrowth in a day I'm excited to see these play out! I've never seen such strong rhizo before, its so freaking cool!

Is that all blue bruising in those tubs? That can be from a couple things like misting too close or drying out on the surface. Check out the misting and fae link in my sig it talks about surface conditions and has a few good pics. I dunno if you needed to pull the other one unless it had some green or other crazy color it may have still been good.

Yeah the other tubs had more than just cobweb, the last one had trich starting in one corner. I actually did look at that link, that's what I think has helped.
*Update- I'm now pretty convinced the top is matted too far, likely from wrong heat/humidity and not changing conditions @ correct time. I took a look at the bottom and its I think its drying too much because moisture isn't getting through now. I had sprayed heavy to run down the walls and it looks to have caused some good growth on the sides so I wondered what my best option is at this point aside from starting over. It looks as though maybe dunking and lightly scraping the top matted area a bit and filling in the top with moist verm. Any suggestions?

They do look kinda bad. There's metabolites and odd growth. A lot of bruising too. I think it's your setup that's messing with them. Hooked up to the hoses and everything. Really with a tub they're best when just stuffed with polyfill or I like using Micropore tape cause its easier and just left alone.
I'd keep watching those for now see what they do. Get some new jars going and just try a normal monotub with your cubes. Instead of the manure and straw and such. Just try coir and verm, it's simple and it works great. If you look at the tubs Bod did in the Everything you need to know link in my sig those are banging flushes with just coir and verm. His teks are completely solid too. My two cube tub pics are just coir and verm. The stuff is simple because its none nutritious and ph perfect. 650g brick of coir, 2qts verm, into a bucket. Dump a gallon of boiling water on it, snap the bucket lid on tight, come back in 2hrs stir it up, wait for it to cool down with the lid on the bucket. Done...mix the whole bucket with 6-7 jars of spawn make a 4-5" level substrate. Keep a little in the bucket just to make a thin top layer. Done...wait for your half pound of fruit to grow. With this way it makes it so it's only dependent upon your jars being contam free. Long as they're good it will work 99% of the time. Use 3M Micropore 1530-3 tape on your holes instead of polyfill. It's so much easier I hate polyfill. I don't even fan or mist my tubs! LoL I just micropore the holes, mix em up, snap the lid on em, put em under my lights, forget about them for a week.

So I dunked both and scratched off the old casings and put moist verm on top. Just misting and fanning and it looks like I might save both tubs of Jamaican Pans, yeah? I saw some mycelial growth this morning and now it looks like its getting ready to pin I think/hope?
