Problems with ONLY brown rice as inoculation sub

Hey everyone! So..., I have always used brown rice + 30%~ verm for inoculation subs (for mush grow bags), the thing is that I recently tried to do it using ONLY brown rice, but this time I got 0 colonization..., from the 10~ grow bags I prepared none of them showed colonization signs after 3 weeks, they are pretty much dead. I searched some posts and people could get success with it and I can“t understand what I did wrong. Maybe it was too dry? I tried to not overcook it, it was lookin fine, just a bit sticky but the grain didn't explode and I could eat it with no problems (it was not soft and not too hard either). The thing is that after I pced the bags for 90 mins at 15 psi, some large areas of the rice was a bit toasted, and I tought that maybe it lost a bit of moisture during sterilization.
What should I do in order to get success? Should I sterilize them for less period of time? When sterilizing them I put a scotch in the filter to avoid the loss of humidity of the substrate, although this does not seem to work quite well.
Some picks of sub after 3 weeks of inoculation and me actually cooking the rice (40 min~ low fire)

PD: I used 4 cc of inoculation per bag as I usually do.

I would recommend sticking to (no pun intended) cereal grains for whole grain prep. If you insist in using brown rice, brf cakes would be the way to go. They can be used to inoculate bulk subs, or fruited as is.

From a few successes with rice I've seen, rice wasn't really cooked to edible softness. But go get some grain or wbs and try with that, you'll have way better chances of success

This is not the way to go. If I were you, I would suggest switching to PF Tek in jars.
Or, if you are ready to do research and learn how to work with agar, make the switch to grains like rye or oats.

Since they have a PC, I would suggest going the grain way.

It still doesn't make sense that you got no colonization though. I use straight brown rice when I make v-teks and it works great.
Were you using 4 CCs of ms*? That seems excessive lol

I meant instead of using brown rice and verm in bags like he has been. I always thinks it's better to work with grains if you are willing to learn to work with agar
