Pine Plantation identification (Western Victoria)
    #26647277 - 05/04/20 12:51 AM (3 years, 9 months ago)

Hi all,

Just beginning to do a bit of research into mushroom hunting, and I decided to go out to a nearby pine plantation in Woodend to have a look. There were so many varieties growing and I probably walked past heaps of subs :frown: I didn't really know what to look for, I just want to have a look around at some good mushroom spots for the future. I'm almost certain these aren't actives but I'd like to know what they are because there were so much of them growing.

There's also a pic of tiny blue mushrooms, I'm not sure what they are. I'm guessing they aren't liberty caps although they look very similar? They have a very grey stem.

Habitat:
Pine mulch, in a pine forest. Growing next to some fallen trees.

Gills:
White gills

Stem:
3-4 cm length

Cap:
1 cm diameter, golden brown colour all over, smooth/slimy texture, most of them are conical

Bruising:
no bruising
