Hi . These things were literally glowing blue in the ground before picking and smell lik fruit cake

Habitat:
Yarra ranges Montrose  Melbourne vic Australia, wet mossy area alot of baby ones growing under moss ,,

Gills: delicate tan colour

Color very blue before picking have not been bruised yet

Stem:
Length  5- 10 cm no ring

Cap:2-5 cm  young very purple / violet
Turning more brown when older

Spore print color:
Tried but can’t get spore print

Other information:
Scent smell quite sweet and fragrant almost Like fruit cake

Possibilities im aware of include Stropharia caerulea/aeruginosa or Cortinarius species.

Interesting mushroom! Never seen it before. Cortinarius. Not active and possibly poisonous.

This is so  fun!  I’ve picked and cooked
Thousands of saffron milk caps and slippery jacks over the years but that’s it .
. as I was a chef
Now working in parks and gardens and loving  it
Recently starting to take notice of all the others 😊

They were so beautiful to see growing under the moss
I can’t wait to find some I can go for a trip on
